Democratic Spending

Democratic spending on upcoming elections is thought, by some Republicans, to put their House majority in jeopardy.  I don't think that's the problem though I think the problem that puts their majority in jeopardy is their own performance while in power, or lack of it (their performance that is).

On one hand, there were some accomplishments but there was a lot left on the table and not handled such as the failure to repeal and/or replace Obamacare. Also the funding of building the wall.  Yes Trump promised that Mexico would pay for it and Trump had to face facts that there was no direct way Mexico was going to pay for it but if Congress had cooperated and worked with the President then there were indirect ways they could have funded the wall and a large part of the funding could have come from funds to/from Mexico.

Yes, Democratic spending may have an influence on the mid-term elections but if Republicans had of done the job they were hired/elected to do then they would have a lot stronger case to present to support re-electing them.  Turnout will be the key and time will tell if the Republicans will lose seats, gain seats or how bad, one direction or the other, it will be.  If Democrats win control of the house then you can bet there will be a two year period of stagnation and a move to impeach Trump.  Hopefully, just like when Clinton was impeached by the, then, Republican controlled house, in the 1990's, the Senate will not have the votes to confirm and agree with it.
