I'm willing to give up one local channel and stay with what I have rather than switch to Comcast and have to deal with them and their disservice. Left them behind years ago.Haven't missed em and haven't regretted it yet. Didn't have service half the time and especially on weekends. We probably won't miss 48 that much and if we do ;we have a converter box. We'll just hook that baby up.Have a blessed day!!!
To heck with them both. Just get internet and use Netflix and Hulu. Check the web for your news. Worst case scenario, you may have to do some thinking instead of having the "news" spoon fed to you. Been cable free for over 2 years now and it's great. No more stupid increasing cable bill every month and I can watch what I want, when I want. Break the cord folks!! You won't regret it.
It was a BRAVE thing for us to get to Direct TV. For four years running Comcast promised my husband the Atlanta Braves games. We never saw a brave, or a ball or a bat! The funny thing is frequently Comcast would call to see why we left it and the same answer was given -they never got the message! They may have the Braves now - but , if so, we are settled with Direct.

your conversation with them should begin, "i'm thinking of moving over to att u-verse. what can you do to stop me?"

that's worked for me both times i've called for "free" upgrades.
