That was his opinion. If they take his views off tv then they should take gays opinions of too. Gays don't want equal rights, they want special rights. When i see something on tv that i don't like i turn it. Here's an idea if you don't wanna see it, turn it. But no, you wanna say he is narrow minded, but you are narrow minded too. Practice what you preach people.

look, i'm a liberal.. i think everyone knows the 'robertson family stance' on gay rights issues. i think phil has every right to state his opinion. it was on his time, and the question was asked. A&E has every right to do what they decide. to me, A&E should have just ignored the story and enjoyed the ratings. let it play out as it will. the damage is done, now. i don't think the show will survive.

Gays do not want "special rights". They want the same rights as straight people.

Yes gays want special rights. When you get on tv and talk about how you believe and a gay person, nobody is gonna give you crap. Then why is it not ok to talk about how you believe as a straight person. I'll tell you why. It's because gays want everything they say to be heard, but their the only ones that want to be heard. Now i'm gonna tell you it's a sin and your'e gonna come back and tell me that i'm wrong. Why does it make you right JUST because you want it too, and why shouldn't we both have a say in it. Well, I have already answered that question (because you want special rights) not to be equal. Now you can go cry to Timesdaily and maybe they will take my post down because i don't suck up to you or because i am such a horrible person because I am straight. You may be my equal but, I will not even begin to act like you are special like a&e does.

But Crash, those "equal rights" do not include the requirement that you or I or anyone holding differing views of their sexual practices are obliged to recognize them as normal or as natural or of equal merit with heterosexuality.  THAT is what the LGBT community is demanding and that is why they are intolerant of anyone who expresses a viewpoint contradictory to theirs.

Robertson did not initiate the discussion in GQ concerning homosexuality.  He was questioned by the interviewer and he responded.  He also cited "drunkards, slanderers and swindlers" as sinful, but so far no representatives of those sectors have come forth to demand his head.

A&E evidently is afraid of losing sponsors, anticipating that the LGBTs and their allies will initiate a boycott against sponsors unless Phil Robertson is disciplined.  This could backfire on them, since Duck Dynasty has many fans--most likely the great majority-- who agree with Robertson.  I can see a Chick-fil-a (sp?) type backlash ("reverse boycott"), where supporters of the show rally to purchase mass quantities of Duck Commander merchandise to show their support of and agreement with Phil Robertson.

Do not for a moment believe that the other bearded Duck Dynasty celebrities hold any views on this topic that differ from Phil's.

The timing is ideal for Phil, since he much prefers duck hunting to his TV work and it is now duck season in Louisiana.

"So you don't think we gonna survive? Well, we got news for you; these ole boys have survived far more than the politically correct actions of those spineless suits at A&E or the whining of the 'our way or the highway' crowd of perverts who demand that anything said about them has to be some kind of ringin' endorsement of their weird way of life. We here to stay, Bubba, and we got plenty of support from the real people."

The cast of A&E's ‘Duck Dynasty’

The Robertson family released a statement saying they are disappointed Phil was placed on hiatus "for expressing his faith, which is a constitutionally protected right."

"We have had a successful working relationship with A&E but, as a family, we cannot imagine the show going forward without our patriarch at the helm," the statement read. "We are in discussions with A&E to see what that means for the future of Duck Dynasty."

To be fair, it is probably a radical group supported by the administration who put out this video, since in all likelihood the firestorm it would have brought upon the WH would have been more than they could have handled.  But it does point out the hypocrisy of the groups who do not want to see an opinion printed of a Christian, but have no probelm telling you in a "gay and festive way" to seek out the government for your healthcare.

Well according to you QD I don't like this administration because I am prejudice against black people....but here are my main concerns.

First, they decided to initiate a healthcare initiative that was conceived by one of the most controverisal individuals in medicine, Dr. Emmanuel.  He is not even respected in his own circle, and yet they would think that he alone, with little input from the real working people of the medical profession could pull of creating a healthcare system.  One that will eventually cripple the industry and stunt medical development for years. On top of this the administration has made no secret that they can only succeed by class warfare, in essence pitting one group against another by saying the "rich" are the ones responsible for the poor and uninsured.  Anyone who could not see these actions has been blinded by the Donkey glasses they are wearing.  he cannot make a speech without doing so.

On several occasions he has made comments that hgihlight his bigoted nature against white poeple.  I have never seen a prosident who would make such statements publically.

This administration has time and time again shown that they have little to no real business sense.  There is continued pressure on small businesses and self employed with higher taxes and demands for things that will eventually drive them either to bankruptcy or out of business.  All the while he increases the handouts.  We have more people on food stamps today than at any time in histroy. You can cite all the references you want, but I have never seen one where many of those who go on government assistance ever get off of it.

His health insurance plan, rammed thru the Congress in the middle of the night with no debate, has left more people without insurance than it has now insured.  the only thing we have done is increase the medicaid rolls.  You cannot finance a new healthcare plan with just medicaid enrollees.  It will not work.

I have no problem with his persoanl foreign policy issues, but Hillary and her State Department killed the boys in the Embassy attack.  They left them there to die beacuse it would have ooked bad to the administration right before an election.  We have seen countless times when they have manipulated the media to their advantage.

I could go on, but you quit listening after the first sentence and do not care what I have to say anyways.

What "rights" were denied in his convictions...per his Moral, Biblical, belief???

He DID'NT bash Gays...He simply stated what his MORAL obligations were...PER his Guidance...The Bible...

Answer THAT one...

t I read it several times and I still see no constitutional remedy from you. Just chaotic rambling spawned by racism. The fact is; your hate for the black president leaves you no quarter in a progressive society who's endeavor is a level playing field for all regarding human rights and quality of life.

T, you are going to lose this battle of yours. The days of the Klan are finished.

(M) Dear Phil (duck dynasty) Robertson,

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to best follow them.

a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

d) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

e) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

f) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an Abomination (Lev 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

g) Lev 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?

h) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev 19:27. How should they die?

i) I know from Lev 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

j) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev 24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help.

Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.

Your devoted disciple and adoring fan.

<input id="mac_address" type="hidden" value="" />

Hopefully I can help this guy out with my advice.

a) you may be using the wrong kind of sauce or burning a bad bull because usually my neighbors grab a beer and rush on over. Do you keep your alter clean?

b) your best bet would be to put her on Ebay and auction her off there.

c) if she is moody or irritable then save your soul and stay away from her.

d) not sure; but you can go to the local un-employment office and see a variety of people available= if not check craigslist.

e) only if he don't bring you a beer while your cooking bull.

f) tell your friend that your a vegetarian.

g) there is wiggle room here.. we now have laser surgery to correct vision.

h) they should dye by using just for men hair color, it will gradually cover their gray hair at the temples.

I) use anti-bacterial soap

j) this man must not live in Alabama.. we don't do that s..t around here d...it!

Your reply is all too typical of the theologically ignorant kind of irrelevancy posted by  gay apologists who think they are posting some kind of "gotcha" by citing Old Testament scripture that is not  applicable to those who live in the Christian era.  To get yourself better educated (which is to say, to get yourself educated at all) on this matter, you could begin by reading chapters 7 through 10 of the New Testament book of Hebrews.

There is plenty of teaching in the New Testament that clearly shows God's disapproval of homosexuality.  You might consider, for example, what is said in Romans 1 about both male and female homosexuality (highlights added):

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

David, now you are just showing off.

You are going to make their heads explode! LOL I can't imagine how they reconcile all that with the world we live in today. They seem to have come to grips with disobeying Gods words on many subjects, but can't seem to get past the changes in society when it comes to homosexuals. They cling to the 7 verses in the bible that speak against it and completely disregard the 10's of thousands of verses that tells them they are not to judge their neighbor but to love them. They throw out more than they keep on most subjects, heck, they don't even fully obey the one that calls homosexuality an abomination. They are willing to get a long in polite society enough to not start stoning people (yet) but can't seem to stop themselves from trying to dehumanize and degrade homosexuals.

Contendah, do you think it is tolerant to equate homosexuals with bestiality, being a drunk, prostitution, and greed? Then to say they are what is wrong with America, as if all the troubles we have in this country can be laid at the feet of homosexuals. Even though they are a very tiny minority in this country. That doesn't sound tolerant to me. Phil Robertson was not ask what he thought about homosexuality. He chose to bring it up and then he went into pretty graphic detail about different sex acts. He wasn't just voicing his religious beliefs, he was spewing hate.

Truthfully this fake a s s family is laughing all the way to the bank. They know who their demographic is and they know how to stir them up. They also know that their fans will rush out and buy their camo encrusted, over priced, t-shirts and chia pets in support of "poor ol persecuted Phil" I'm sure the fans won't let them down. From the post on here it looks like their plan is working perfectly.

David, every time one of these bigoted, backwards, ignorant fools spews their hate in the media it only strengthens the support for LBGT rights. When the majority of Americans (not necessarily here in the South) get smacked in the face with that kind of ignorance it makes them even more determined to not let that kind of hatred and bigotry go unchallenged. So, try to look at it as Phil doing us all a huge favor. He just shined a bright light on the dark and disgusting people that don't want anyone they deem "sinful" to be treated with respect and love. It will backfire as it has been for decades now. More and more Americans are in favor of equal treatment and rights for LBGT citizens. More and more Americans are standing up and supporting you. Keep your chin up!  The Phil Robertsons are a dying breed.

{{{...The Phil Robertsons are a dying breed.}}}

Thanks Janikoya, a welcome comment in the midst of insanity! Spewing Bible verses to justify hatred and condemnation of others is pathetic. In the future, they will be viewed liked the ones who hosed down African-Americans in the 60s and made them drink from separate water fountains.

Contendah - verses written by men in their day who were just as bigoted and homophobic! And they also believed the world was flat and boogeymen lurked in the shadows.

As for "sin", there are a number mentioned in the Bible that people these days seem to gloss over - premarital sex, extramarital sex, divorce, etc. Where is the outcry over that???

Again, a "pick and choose" mentality.
