The pig has salmonella, the poke is unihabitable. For literary license, I shall call the employees and healthcare providers the "pig" (please forgive me) and the actual structure of the hospital itself the "poke".
The employees (pig is how some of them feel at present and have grown from sucklings over the last 10 years or so thanks to the treatment by the healthcare authority) are either in deep depression or outrage at the present state of affairs regarding pension and benefits as mandated by ECM and apprehensive about the future plans of the new "owners". Ice Cream socials aside, where are the benefits?
As for the poke, one can only hope the present structure last another 3 years. The air-conditioning is not functioning, the roof leaks on patient rooms and the elevators are now stalling and stopping suddenly between floors.
Need to go to the hospital? Those in the know recommend Helen Keller or Huntsville.
