There are 5 houses in 5 different colours. In each house lives a person of a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. Using the clues below can you determine who owns the fish?

The Brit lives in a red house.
The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
The Dane drinks tea.
The green house is on the immediate left of the white house.
The green house owner drinks coffee.
The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
The man living in the house right in the middle drinks milk.
The Norwegian lives in the first house.
The man who smokes Blend lives next door to the one who keeps cats.
The man who keeps horses lives next door to the man who smokes Dunhill.
The owner who smokes Blue Master drinks beer.
The German smokes Prince.
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
The man who smokes Blend has a neighbour who drinks water.

Here's my guess:

1st House- The Norwegian lives in a yellow house with his cats, drinking water and smoking Dunhills.

2nd House- The Dane lives in the blue house with his horse, drinking tea and smoking Blends.

3rd House- The Brit lives in the red house with his birds, drinking milk and smoking Pall Malls.

4th House- The German lives in the green house with his FISH, drinking coffee and smoking Princes.

5th House- The Swede lives in the white house with his dogs, drinking beer and smoking Blue Masters.

If this is not right, I give up. I was never very good at these logic puzzles. But it was fun to try!
The Norwegian owns the fish.

I have tried to attach a spreadsheet to show how I got the answer, but you can only attach Zip, text, and images Frowner. Here is what I did: I listed the houses across the top row (my row headers) then I listed each option in a group below each house. For example:

House 1....House 2....House 3...
Red........Red........Red
Blue.......Blue.......Blue
Yellow.....Yellow.....Yellow
****************************
Dogs.......Dogs.......Dogs
Cats.......Cats.......Cats
Fish.......Fish.......Fish

etc....

Read through the clues and each time you get one that disqualifies another, mark through it. The first usable clue is "green house is on the immediate left of the white house". You know that House #5 cannot be GREEN because it isn't on the immediate left of any house. So mark GREEN out of House #5's colors. The next clue you can use is "The green house owner drinks coffee" you know this guy does not live in house #5 is not drinking coffee (because house #5 cannot be green). Read through all the clues, use the ones you can, then start over. The clues build on each other to eliminate all the options the more you read through them.

So,
#1 Norwegian, Yellow house, Dunhill, Fish, Water
#2 Dane, Blue house, Blend, Horses, Tea
#3 Brit, Red house, Pall Mall, Cats, Milk
#4 German, Green house, Prince, Birds, Coffee
#5 Swede, White house, Blue Master, Dogs, Beer
According to this the German does....
Einstein's Problem

The author of this problem is Albert Einstein who said that 98% of the people in the world couldn't solve it.
Facts:

1. There are 5 houses (along the street) in 5 different colors:

3. These 5 owners
drink a certain beverage:
