Note: I don't want anybody around me that uses cigarettes at all. But just how safe are electronic cigarettes. Manufactures of them claim they are a safe alternative to cigarettes. From what I have read there is nicotine and traces of toxic chemicals including carcinogens. They use a battery with an atomizer to heat the liquid up, don't sound safe to me and who knows what other chemicals that are in them.

They are just another way to feed an addiction. Also, they may contain unknown chemicals
there are chemicals in almost everything we consume. our food is loaded with things not good for us, unless you can afford to buy organic. as far as e-cigs from what I have researched they are safe, however there are not enough test to confirm. I treat mine like regular cig and go out side and keep away from others. the good news is I have cut my weekly cost from $35 a week on cigarettes to $6 a week on e-cigs. I feel better, breath better and have more energy. And I don't stink anymore.
I wonder about the nicotine gum. I know a woman that chews it constantly, and has for years.
And I don't stink anymore.
When I smoked, Marlboros didn't stink. Now they do.

They stank then and they stink now. As a smoker, you just did not notice the persistent stink. Is that perhaps what you were suggesting?

Funny how that works, isn't it?
I honestly believe some of the posters here are putting "Summers Eve" in their Ecigs?
Sounds refreshing. LOL

I figure about 5 years down the road after a new study they will tell us that they are highly toxic and just as bad if not worse than actually smoking. I guess we'll see.
here's my theory... do you think the average person is smart enough to mix chemicals and inhale them into the body?
Don't vape, however, I have a friend who does. The thing doesn't stimk. In fact, i don't smell anything.
Nicotine in the electronic cigarette is an alkaloid toxin that has been used as an insecticide.

It can produce undesirable side effects in the body:

That said if people want to inhale the stuff and they aren't crashing their cars into me and are a respectful distance from others; then it's none of my business.
