Check. 20 this morning with a few patches of snow. 28 at noon. Fireplace's been heating the cabin for a couple of days.
Brad Travis is having a field day with this cold weather. He doesn't know when to stop. Now they're saying snow Thursday with wind chills at 15 below. 
If Dan Satterfield was still with WHNT, he would be having a blast with this.

The "uppity woman" keeps struggling and failing to justify the nasty, suspicious, knee-jerk attitude that generated her distorted perspective on the assault on Mr. Patel. The Governor of Alabama just today instructed the state police to investigate this egregious incident. The FBI is already on the job.

Yup. I agree. I remember how excited Dan would get. Brad loves it too though.
At 10 he says very cold (wind chills of -20 - 10 degrees) and some snow or freezing rain possible on Friday then thunderstorms and in the low 60's this weekend. After the cold front moves through.
Am looking forward to the weekend.
Pffft. 'Tis Long Island beach weather....

Bud, I bet the fireplace in your two story log cabin, surrounded by all those pine trees, feels very nice this morning Since heat rises, does it keep the upstairs bedrooms warm without having to use the upstairs thermostat?

I remember that too. Went to many of those as a kid. They would also take the youth group in my church to see films about burning in hell and the Mark of the Beast. How to identify it. Scary ****.
As I've grown older though I can see through it all.

Sorry, I missed this.
Heat does what heat does but not to the extent I thought it might. As you know [?], the downstairs ceiling is the upstairs floor and I would have thought rising heat would penetrate it, especially the ceiling/floor directly above the fireplace. Additionally, I would have thought the stairwell would have been a conduit for rising heat. But no so much. During this weather, if the upstairs needs to be heated as it did a couple of weeks ago, got to go to artificial heat.
I keep the upstairs at a default setting of 45. Too cold to shower, to hot for beer.
