In a thread in the politics section called "change needed" , there was some back and forth between Deepfat and myself about family plan health insurance. From my own experience, I assumed that all family plan health insurance covered all members of that family until some declared time.
DF said he paid by the head, so I wondered- what type of insurance plan do most people have?
I may have to re-examine my viewpoint depending on what I (we) learn.

My family planned always covered everyone in my family, no matter how many members there were.

NOW, of course my kids are grown, so I have the single plan, but it is barely cheaper than family was.

NO ONE ever paid a dime for my kids but ME!!!! And especially not the gov't.

But times are changing fast, too many companies out there NOT insuring their people, too many without health insurance which in turn HURTS the healthcare industry.

It is such a vicious cycle that I don't think putting ALL the BRAINS together in Washington could come up with the RIGHT answers.
