What I wonder is if the folks, like a Church Secretary who was given a Fatboy's gift certificate for her birthday, got reimbursed for the amount of the certificate? I do know she ask for reimbursement but I never heard, one way or the other, if reimbursement was given.

I hate that things didn't work out for the owner because it seemed to have potential but I also heard from another person that the lease on the building was in excess of $6,000 a month. That being the case, if right, is crazy and I doubt anything could make enough profit to pay for that kind of overhead.
i had always heard that the land alone was valued at a million when Guthries went in, so it had to have be an expensive lease. the food was always great i thought, i just think it suffered from bad management and also the time it took to get food out was a little long for burgers, sandwiches, and fries. it had potential for sure and hopefully the owner will do something similar at a more affordable location.
We ate there once and it was only a few days before it was closed down. My husband had even commented to me on how much money was being wasted on so much help. While we were there... there were about 5 or 6 employees sitting at one of the tables doing nothing. Occasionally our waitress would come refill our drinks and then go back and sit with the others. The owner was sitting there too. We felt that he could have sent some of them home. That would be in the category of bad management IMO. The food was wonderful at a fair price but we had several flies buzzing around our area too.
