Does the federal government still work for American citizens, or have American citizens become nothing more than subjects expected to obey Washington’s bureaucratic regime?

Alan Moore, author and social critic, asserts in “V for Vendetta” that “People shouldn’t be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.” When a young director in Karachi, Pakistan, adapted “Vendetta” for a live theatrical performance 10 years ago, he repeated the line during the play’s curtain call to raucous applause from the audience. Moore’s simple words reflect poignantly the human desire to be free from government tyranny.

Moore’s statement is widely embraced in the United States, where “the people” are constitutionally vested with power over government. It is doubtful, however, that today’s permanent bureaucracy in Washington, D.C., would concur.

This philosophical divide between the American people and their government is an important one. Should the American people be afraid of the U.S. government? Of course not. Yet a new army of IRS agents that will be used to audit middle-class Americans and a partisan DOJ and FBI that routinely ignore leftist violence while throwing the book at MAGA voters strongly suggest otherwise.

Does the federal government still work for American citizens, or have American citizens become nothing more than subjects expected to obey Washington’s bureaucratic regime? For many Americans, the answer to that question is glaringly obvious.

After Chris Wray’s FBI launched an unprecedented raid of President Trump’s private residence at Mar-a-Lago on Aug. 8, the director’s immediate concern was not his agency’s appearance of impropriety but the denouncement of his lackeys’ behavior by the American public.

“I’m always concerned about threats to law enforcement,” Wray declared while saying nothing of threats to Americans from federal law enforcement. Who is more of a threat to American liberty: citizens using their constitutionally protected free speech to criticize the FBI or wayward FBI agents acting under the color of law?

Clearly, those with great power represent the greatest threat to freedom. For those such as Wray, who believe the FBI is the real victim, it is the citizen expressing himself who must be held accountable.

Wray’s decision to shield his agents from criticism while obliquely intimidating citizens is hardly a departure from the federal government’s standard operating procedure. Before the Democrats’ recent addition of 87,000 new prying IRS agents to hound American taxpayers, including the hiring of agents who will “carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force,” Barack Obama’s IRS was already targeting and harassing conservative organizations.

Why should Americans expect a greatly expanded and well-armed IRS to behave any differently this time?

A similar abuse of power during Obama’s presidency occurred when his Environmental Protection Agency released “sensitive, private, and personal materials on more than 100,000 farmers and ranchers” to outside environmental groups in what was seen as an intentional effort to promote “eco-activist tyranny.”

It was not enough for the EPA to harass America’s farmers with endless agricultural, livestock, and water regulations; the agency decided to permit outside “help” to further its interests in enforcing “green” regulations.

Now that congressional Democrats have succeeded in finding a path for greatly expanding the Green New Deal “climate change” agenda, it is likely that the EPA’s harassment of farmers will continue in the future.

The FBI, the IRS, and the EPA are but three agencies with tremendous powers that can be used to intimidate or imperil Americans. There are more than 400 departments, agencies, and sub-agencies within the federal government, and “no one knows definitively how many agencies, components, and commissions exist.”

Each of these authorities is constantly issuing rules, regulations, and guidelines that affect Americans’ rights and liberties without their knowledge. Each of those bodies exercises jurisdiction over the American people in ways that most don’t even realize. Does this sound like a government afraid of its citizens or tyranny?

Desperation met stupidity on the corner of bad luck and despair, and the democratic party was born.

plus media labels anyone who speaks up against government.  FBI ignores the "influential" pedophiles on Epstein list.  Media including Fox news ignores this, who are they protecting?

They are trying to protect Bill Clinton for one, plus who knows who else.

Bill Clinton on Epstein's island. Epstein is to the left of Clinton.

it Trump is guilty then yes, however do some research. Trump threw Epstein out. Just cuz there is a picture at a social event doesn't mean anything.  oh also from what I saw Trump didn't go to pedo island like Clinton.

Flight logs list Clinton as being on the 'Lolita Express' 9 times.
Flight logs also list Trump as being on the 'Lolita Express' at least 7 times.

What's the excuse for Trump, now?

Trump never denied being friends with Epstein. He was also friends with the Clintons. Trump broke with Epstein in 2009, YEARS before the scandal broke, but Clinton still let Epstein come to the WH while he was president, and was friends with him until Epstein's death. Clinton went to the pedo island 27 times on Epstein's plane, Trump flew from California to New York on that plane ONCE.

If there was anything shady to know about Trump and his  association with Epstein, Hillary Clinton would know it, and she would have put it on blast during the campaign!
In a deposition, Giuffre says that Epstein told her that he was friends with Trump, but that she never witnessed the president and Epstein together. “Donald Trump never flirted with me,” she testified, and added that she didn’t see or ever hear of him having sex with girls at Epstein’s homes.

The attorney who represented many of Epstein’s victims the first time around credits Donald Trump for helping him build his case against Epstein. An interview with the attorney, Bradley Edwards, has resurfaced and is making the rounds on social media.

Epstein ended up apologizing and settling the Edwards’ civil lawsuits.

ATTORNEY WHO SUED EPSTEIN CREDITED TRUMP WITH HELPING HIM BUILD A CASE AGAINST EPSTEIN

“The only thing that I can say about President Trump is that he is the only person who, in 2009 when I served a lot of subpoenas on a lot of people, or at least gave notice to some pretty connected people, that I want to talk to them, [Trump] is the only person who picked up the phone and said, let’s just talk. I’ll give you as much time as you want. I’ll tell you what you need to know, ” Edwards recalled.

He added about the president, “[He] was very helpful, in the information that he gave,  and there is no indication whatsoever that he was involved in anything untoward whatsoever, but had good information.” They won their case.

Trump was not president, and it was in 2009.

A senior aide to Bill Clinton, Doug Band, has blown the whistle on the former President, claiming that Bill Clinton obsessively and repeatedly visited Jeffery Epstein’s ‘pedophile island‘, despite repeated denials.

Doug Band advised Clinton to end his relationship with Epstein.

“Clinton continued to socialize with Epstein and take his money. In 2006 Epstein donated $25,000 to the Clinton Foundation. Clinton made more than two dozen trips on Epstein’s jet around this time, Epstein’s flight logs show,” the report continues.

Doug Band, who previously accused Chelsea Clinton of using Clinton Foundation funds to pay for her lavish wedding, toldVanity Fair that Chelsea also had an unhealthy and intimate relationship with Epstein and his child pimp Ghislaine Maxwell.

Band notes that Ghislaine Maxwell was invited to Chelsea Clinton’s wedding in 2010, despite the fact that it was then known that Epstein had committed sex crimes involving underage girls.

Chelsea had ties to Epstein and Maxwell, Band said; he showed me a photo of Bill and Chelsea posing with Epstein and Maxwell at the King of Morocco’s wedding. Chelsea remained friends with Maxwell for years after the press revealed Maxwell was a close associate of Epstein’s. For instance, Chelsea invited Maxwell to her 2010 wedding at the Brooke Astor estate in Rhinebeck, New York, after Epstein had pleaded guilty in Florida to procuring sex from a minor.

Try not to let the dems pull you off the subject. They are big on yelling "whataboutisms" if you mention anything pertaining to the Clintons or Obama, but they constantly want to obsess on Trump and deflect. There are more pedophiles being protected by the left, and we know two of them, a father and son. IF you have FX on demand, watch "American Crime Story: Impeachment" and see if you can find "The Clinton Affair" first aired on A&E, and watch that too.  Then the Netflix documentary.

Band says in the interview that it was only in 2011 that he began to tell Clinton staffers to cut Maxwell out of the picture.

“I knew in telling everyone to stop including Ghislaine that Chelsea and her father would be very angry. It made it harder for them to justify being close to her,” Band says.

Band’s claims that Bill Clinton visited the notorious ‘pedo island’ dovetail with previously unsealed court documents in the Ghislaine Maxwell, which revealed that a witness claims to have seen the former president there with Epstein, Maxwell and “two young girls”.

The documents also echo claims previously made by a former worker on Epstein’s island in a Netflix documentary.

The claims run contrary to denials by Clinton that he ever visited the island, which was reportedly the site of multiple sexual assaults of underage women by the convicted pedophile Epstein and his elite guests.

Two people expressing their 1st amendment rights are not 'framing Trump'.  You rubes want to be fooled... or you're too invested in Trump to turn back now.... either way, the world sees what rubes Trump has made of the GOP.
