In an article WAAY TV channel 31 indicates that Firehouse Subs is coming to Florence. Hopefully, according to what they are saying it should be open sometime in October. I'm glad to have FIrehouse coming to the area because while we have several good sub shops not many have steamed subs as Firehouse does. The only ones that I know that have similar offerings are Momma Goldbergs in Muscle Shoals but nowhere in Florence.
Another newcomer to town, from what I've been told, will be CULVER's Hamburgers and they plan to open somewhere along Cloverdale Road possibly in the same area as the Taco Bell that opened or possibly near Zaxby's and the new Walmart Location. Still glad that there is some growth coming to the area to possibly offset some of those that are closing down or leaving. It's still up in the air whether there will be a replacement for Legend's Steakhouse downtown and Ruby Tuesdays will surely not be back. There is also a concern as to whether or not Applebees, as a nationwide chain will continue to make it and while thankfully Stanfields will be opening back up in the old Outback Steakhouse location Logans shut down their newer location in Muscle Shoals and based upon my last experience at the Florence location I'm not very encouraged that the Florence Location will continue to survive.
