Despite other's opinions I had it even without FOX.
I like it.
The government that governs least, governs best.
And, it correlates nicely to the Bohner Plan..."say 'No' to everything."
get it now?
LOL
Thanks Ronnie,
Skippy
That is a bit funny.
Ronnie needed to take his "meds" and didn't have time to post ALL of the "thug" plans. Since the latest Boehner bomb has bombed out, what do you thugs want to happen now????????
You know, it just occured to me that some of you hard core Foxophiles and teabaggers actually BELIEVE that President Obama is required to draft a bill or just sit down and write something and it will be enacted upon to raise the debt ceiling. Although in the past when it came to raising the debt ceiling, the 17 times it was done under Ronald Reagan and the 7 times it was done under GWB, neither had ANYTHING to do with writing the actual bill. Perhaps during media time at the nursing home Ronnie P., you could have the nurses pop in a DVD of Schoolhouse Rock and "How a bill becomes a law.
For the non geriatrics, turn off Billo the Clown and study how the legislative process works.
Then again, that would require actually thinking and that is what you have been programmed to avoid.
As an example I will insert the name: Michele Bachmann.
And just one more thing, it has never been necessary before, BUT we have never had congressmen who were elected by those who are devotees of a television network like Fox News and rally around a cause espoused by the likes of Glenn Beck:
Here is President Obama's ONLY plan available to solve this fiasco:
The 14th amendment:
Section 4. The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.
Everything else would require a bill to be inacted.
Interesting read.

That only applied to the Civil War.
Section 4 confirmed the legitimacy of all United States public debt appropriated by the Congress. It also confirmed that neither the United States nor any state would pay for the loss of slaves or debts that had been incurred by the Confederacy. For example, several English and French banks had lent money to the South during the war.[48] In Perry v. United States (1935), the Supreme Court ruled that under Section 4 voiding a United States government bond "went beyond the congressional power."[49]
I can read JIMI. Try the next section.
Section. 5. The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.
Obama has no power to do anything about the debt ceiling using this amendment.
Where in the Constitution is the foundation for a debt limit?
Only Congress has the power to borrow money per the constitution. Under Article 1, Section 8. Clause 1. The Congress shall have Power to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.
Under the Anti-Deficiency act, spending money not authorized is a felony, each count, each check, each amount.

Fail.
Where is the specific point made that once Congress approves spending, there must be another vote to authorize the assumption of debt to pay for said spending.
