I seen that on the news the other night. The store owner said that he was able to sell it at $3.49 and still make a profit. That tells me its all about the others wanting to pad the pocket.
As long as people don't get spoil once again when these prices go down and go out and buy those gas guzzles (mis-spelled) and as long as they conserve it might just go down some more. We still have to keep getting away for our dependence from oil and not do what we have been doing for the past 30 years, and that is nothing much at all.
Heard on the news that Exxon said they had made their biggest profits ever. Guess they have at these prices! That also tells me all we are doing is padding their pockets just that much more!
Just saw on the news a bi-partisan compromise was reached on the energy bill. Of course, it still has to be voted on. At least 10 of them wanted to go on a month's long vacation without being called back by the President.
Maybe he'll call them back to vote on it if they don't vote today. He definitely needs to
Don't forget that $.05-.07 (I can't even remember the total...and isn't there another 2-3 cents added per gallon for something else too?) is being added to each gallon of gas in Colbert and Lauderdale counties to pay for the RTJ/RSA/Marriott project. I am still in favor of doing so....I just think that most folks around here forget that the $3.66/gal I paid last night could be $3.61 or less.
**wondering aloud/ would the price per gallon around be any different if we didn't have the added stuff on it? /wondering aloud
