Hasidic Newspaper Photoshops Hillary Clinton from Iconic Photo

Ultra-Orthodox Hasidic Jewish newspaper, Der Tzitung, has determined that the photo of top U.S. leaders receiving an update on the mission against Osama bin Laden was too scandalous. What was so offensive about the image? U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in the photo and, based on good intel, the editor of Der Tzitung discovered that she is a woman. The Hasidic newspaper will not intentionally include any images of women in the paper because it could be considered sexually suggestive.

I love it when religious dogma trumps education and reason.

Israel is a messy nation, populated predominantly by atheists,  agnostics, and non-observant Jews, yet frequently being jerked around by extremist Zionist Jews, including these Hasidic fanatics.  Adding to the confusion is the obsession of much of American evangelical fundamentalism with the notions that the Jews are still the chosen people of God and that the temple will be rebuilt in Jerusalem as part of a silly end times scenario concocted by stringing  together unrelated scraps of scripture. Linked with this is the tribulation/rapture/ Antichrist imbroglio known as dispensational premillennialism.  The influence of these deluded American Zionists on such things as foreign aid to--and political support of--Israel is not to be overlooked and the impact of that on peace in the Middle East is something that all should be concerned about. The danger in this is seen, for example, in the ready access a deluded millennialist lardbag like John Hagee has to major Congressional figures.

Israel, a messy nation, as are so many Western democracies.  I'm sure you prefer the ordered ones like Iran, north Korea and the late lamented Soviet Union.

Well, it just so happens that the TOPIC on this string is not Iran, North Korea, or the lamented Soviet Union.  That is why I commented on Israel.  You, in typical rube fashion, apparently have embraced the "so's yer old man" or "arr, yer mutha wears army boots" modality of argumentation instead of staying on topic.  Clean up your act.

The fact that I commented on Israel has absolutely nothing to do with what nations I might "prefer," except in your deranged system of "logic." Grow up and engage in sensible discussions instead of taking cheap and irrelevant potshots like that.  An alleged cosmopolite like you really should know better. Meanwhile, stand in the corner for the next 20 minutes.

You attempted to defame Israel, in typical anti-Semitic fashion. Unfortunately, your comments could apply to the US, France, the UK, or most of the Western nations, with variations on a theme.

Your comeback is amateurish, attempting to paint me with the brush your so successfully tarred yourself.  Sorry, seen this act before -  many, many times.

Telling the truth is neither anti-Semitic nor defamatory. Again, I followed the subject matter.  It was YOU who stretched what I said into an implication that I was some kind of enthusiast for the other three nations you listed.  That was childish and illogical of you, but you are either  too dense to see that or too stubborn to admit it. You remain a pseudosophisticated rube.

I gave examples of nations that are considered "orderly," not ncessarily nations that you might favor, or not.

Again, your description of Israel might match many of the Western democracies.  For example, France after electing an economic conservative may elect a true left wing racist fascist from the National Front.  Go to Malmo, Sweden.  Then, walk around wearing a kippah or sweatshirt with a star of David. You'll probably get beaten, if a nice policeman doesn't take you in as someone mentally deprived.

To the contrary, you've provided no logic in your rant.  AS to calling me a "pseudosophisticated rube,"

Pitiful!

What is pitiful is your apparent inability or unwillingness to recognize what you yourself have posted.  Just above, you say, "I gave examples of nations that are considered 'orderly,' not ncessarily [sic] nations that you might favor, or not."  But your original reference to these nations was THIS: "I'm sure you prefer the ordered ones like Iran, north [sic] Korea and the late lamented Soviet Union." Which is is?  Are your "sure" about my alleged preference for those commie countries or are they "not necessarily nations that [I] might favor"?.

So you see, the logic in my "rant" continues to demonstrate your fumbling inconsistency.

My original statement is self-explanatory to anyone with a grain of interpretive acumen.  That seems to let you out. As to your charge of bigotry, that really gets old.  Are you one of those silly, sycophantic Israel defenders who believes anyone who criticizes anything about Israel must be an anti-Semite?   It would certainly seem so from your long-term performance on this forum,
