Our Family of six went today, ranging from 48 to 11 in age....got to say it was one of the best! We all loved it and spent the car ride home sharing favorite scenes. Ugh, did I mention a crying baby in the audience during a large portion of the movie?!? Leave them at home if at all possible, the movie is full of adventure and plenty of loud, noisy scenes that would wake a sleeping giant, much less a litte one. Just a suggestion!
I'm rereading book 6 this week before this Saturday (or midnight on Friday). It's kinda like finishing a puzzle, I can hardly wait.

After the movie, (thankfully there weren't any crying babies during ours), we went to Books-a-Million and bought some bertie bots, chocolate frogs & blood pops. If they do open the Harry Potter theme park in Orlando, we'll go broke.

We saw the 2:45 today and it was pretty packed. During the scene after Voldemort leaves when the Minister of Magic walks in and said, "He is back", a dude in the audience yelled out, "Well duh!", that was pretty funny, the parts where everyone claps and really gets into it and at times you could hear a pin drop.

Our 13 year old has read all 6 that have been released and our 10 year old has made it to the middle of "The Goblet of Fire."

I have so many predictions and thoughts about the final book. I truly believe Snape is good, though.

I did most of the series with talking books on my ipod during long flights. Pretty cool way to split the difference

I got hooked by listening to the books on tape. Jim Dale, the man who reads the books, is amazing. I listened to all of them except book 6 (which I read myself), and I feel like everyone is missing out on something great by not listening to him read the stories.

He's won some big awards for his work on the Harry Potter series, including a Guiness World Record with book 5 for having 180 different and distinct voices for 180 different characters. Thats right, he creates a different voice for each character in the book. Even now when I read them, I hear their voices as he made them on the audio books.
I started reading the books to my little brother. He couldn't care less about the series and now I'm hooked! I ordered the book from Amazon for $17 and it will be delivered to my doorstep this Saturday. Oh sweet heavenly entertainment, I'm not going ANYWHERE this weekend until I'm finished.

I went to see the movie the day it came out. Aside from having seats taken up by theater employees, it was a great experience! I was a little disappointed with some of the details they left out, but the movie would be days long if they included every detail. I like how they choose different directors so the movies aren't all the same style.

FoshaBen,

I just finished this morning downloading books 1-6 narrated by Jim Dale. Thanks for mentioning this (Heub too, thanks) because they are very cool!
