My aunt carried on and on about how she couldn't wait for Publix to open in Florence. It was going to be so great to have such a varied selection and hard to find items............ She went on about this ad-nauseum. I asked her again the other day whether she had been to Publix yet. Nope. Did I mention that she is nuts?

Publix's house brand premium ice cream and yogurt, often on sale for 2/$5, and still at full half-gallon size, is a really good deal. Good selection of teas and coffee;  spaghetti sauces and pasta--best selection in town; produce is a bit pricey, but very good and always fresh-typically  fresher than other supermarkets in the area, also greater variety. Nice selection of Bob's Red Mill grains, flours, beans, etc.  Publixr seafood is way overpriced, though.

Study the weekly Publix tabloid-style ad for some good prices; lots of BOGOs.

If you count the one's in Decatur and Athens, 12. There is also a Publix at Guntersville, but I don't think that counts as the Huntsville area:

1.Decatur Commons

2.Eastside Junction (Athens)

3.Harvest Square

4.Flint Crossing

5.Winchester Plaza

6.Hampton Cove

7.Mountain Cove

8.Piedmont Point

9.Twickenham Square

10.Madison Centre

11.Promenade In Madison

12. Village Shoppes Of Madison

The store data comes form the Publix website.
