Help me forum friends, I have never lived in the lap of luxury and not used to pedicures. If you get one how much do you tip? Or is a tip even expected? Thank you one and all

Of course, that ain't so generous when I never pay anything for any pedicure.
I have a nice, heavy-duty pair of toenail clippers that do the job in short order.
Pedicures are an elitist fetish!
Pedicures are sometimes considered a medical procedure. The elderly can't do their own, and if they don't have family that can do it, they have to pay to have it done. I don't think they feel they're being elitists. People with diabetes have to be very careful and usually have theirs done professionally. I guess tipping would depend on the amount charged for the pedicure. I'd guess about the same as tipping a waitress.
I was wondering if it would be 15 or 20% or how it was done and whoever said some people who were diabetics and who were older is right on. Some people with diabetes are now instructed by their particular dr to get a pedicure. thank you all for your responses. That was a bit tongue in cheek re lap of luxury part. Aren't these forums the best!? Thanks again
BeternU: your answer made me laugh. That has always been my remedy too but circumstances have arisen... Have you ever used said tool to cut hair? That will work in a pinch.
