I've been ready to ask my second question of Bill in his attempt to "tutor" me for over a week now.  Before I can do that, I need to understand the pertinent positions of Bill's theology.

This is what we have so far:

1.  Once save, always saved.

2. The Bible is to be taken literally except for obvious uses of metaphors, simile and symbolism.

3. Everything in the New Testament, including all of Paul's writing, is God's word to us, straight from God, and God doesn't change his mind.

4. If someone willfully disobeys the Bible, then they were never Christians, and still aren't.

Bill, before I ask my next question, I need you to tell me if you believe God and Jesus are still at work on earth and in heaven?  So far you have answered, "DUH".  I'm hoping for something a little more literate.

Crusty, my Friend,

As I told you, you asked the question, so it would be enlightening to see your take on it first.  That is, unless YOU DO NOT KNOW the answer.  Do you admit that you are Biblically illiterate and cannot answer that question.  If so, maybe Contendah or I can help you.

But, first -- give it your best shot -- and, then I will answer.

And, don't forget -- I did give you a hint:  It is a one word answer!

Ciao, baby!

Crusty, my Friend,

All you have built is an atheist glass outhouse!   You mumble incoherently through what you, and fellow atheists, believe to be the game-winning question for atheism.  Then, you copy/paste some Scripture verses which you, in no way, can truly explain in your own words.   And, YOU call that a serious question?   DUH!

Crusty, if all you want to do is play childish, inane children's games -- play with yourself.   I don't have time to baby-sit you and your tantrums.

IF you seriously want to have an adult discussion -- just let me know.  Otherwise, I have more important things to do -- like clean the trash can.

Bless your childish little heart!

Bill

Well, Bill finally attempted to clarify his position on whether or not God and Jesus continue to work here on earth and in heaven.  He starts out by lying:  "As I told him, the answer to [this] question can easily be answered with one word:   Omnipresence!"  And then his answer is really no answer.

Bill, omnipresence means that they are always present everywhere.  This says nothing about whether God and Jesus continue to work here on earth and in heaven.  I know plenty of people who show up for work and don't actually do any.  Please make your position clearer.

God/Jesus enjoy doing nothing but watch Bill do the work of Satan. And thinking of the day they can throw his azz in that Lake of Fire they created.

Haha crust!!! Surely it has occurred to you at some point that the Baptist Nation will see you, as does Bill; a heathen of the world needing salvation.  The Baptists have a magazine of Bills that if placed end to end, would extend far beyond the horizon. Even though Contendah is my choice of evils, the both of them would appear most similar to any observer outside our frame of reference. The dogmas are tightly stitched in the vestments of the two and have survived attacks on many fronts exponentially more potent than the casual acquaintance on here by those whose contributions  possess no more gravity than a sneer.[ stresses insulting by contemptuous facial expression, phrasing, or tone of voice] Webster

The Baptist nation has always seen me as Bill does.  For the most part, I find the CoC much less objectionable in public than the Bible thumping Baptists.  If by "survived attacks", you mean they are oblivious to how ridiculous they are with regard to many planks of their platform, you are correct.  It's fun to watch them dance, though.

=======================

I see all the red hearts, and from the titles it looks like you have him making more and more "diversion threads", and "bumping" them. His modus operandi. So even if you didn't get answers, you proved your point.

Omniscient means he knows everything.  Omnipotent means he is all powerful.  Omnipresent means he is everywhere.  None of those means he does anything.  So, Bill, I now have to take your answer as meaning that God isn't much more than the three monkeys.  He is everywhere, knowing everything, capable of anything, but doing nothing.

Is that correct?

Crusty, my Friend,

YOU SAID IT!   "God isn't much more than the three monkeys.  He is everywhere, knowing everything, capable of anything, but doing nothing."

I would not want to be there with you at the Great White Judgment when YOU try to explain that to Him.

Bless your foolish little heart!

Bill

Ok, I'll play your game. You make an accusation, you need to stand behind it. Tell me how I play both sides, my guess is you can't, at least not truthfully.

I've never made it a secret that I despise a hypocrite. I've never made it a secret that I don't like those that talk the talk but do not walk the walk. I've never made it a secret that I'm confused as to the existence of God/Jesus. I've never made it a secret that I don't like those "Christians" that talk down to others & call people names, that judge, that think their better than others.

I do like those that seem to be truly trying & you can always tell those apart from the others. I do like those that are honest in what they do/don't believe. I don't like an azz kisser. I don't like/dislike someone just because they say they're a Christian or not a Christian. It's all about how you treat others. They're some good people on this forum & I like the majority of them, & I don't care if they're Christian or not. I could go on & on but you should get what I'm putting down.

Now, I want to see you stand behind your judgment of me.

I'm just summing up your position as you've stated it so far.  I've asked for clarification as to whether or not you believe that God and Jesus continue to work here on earth and in heaven, and what you have given me can only be interpreted the way I did.

I'm glad you have finally confirmed my understanding of your belief.

Finally, we have that resolved.  I'll be asking question #2 shortly.

In the meantime, here are some of Bill's key theological positions:

This is what we have so far:

1.  Once save, always saved.

2. The Bible is to be taken literally except for obvious uses of metaphors, simile and symbolism.

3. Everything in the New Testament, including all of Paul's writing, is God's word to us, straight from God, and God doesn't change his mind.

4. If someone willfully disobeys the Bible, then they were never Christians, and still aren't.

5. God and Jesus are everywhere, knowing everything, capable of anything, but doing nothing.
