Bill is refusing to establish his position on whether or not God and Jesus continue to work here on earth and in heaven.  Well, he did say "DUH", which I guess if I were 2 years old I would accept that as a valid position.  Until Bill establishes his position, Question #2 must be put on the back burner.

So, on to question #3.

So far we have established that Bill believes the following:

This is what we have so far:

1.  Once save, always saved.

2. The Bible is to be taken literally except for obvious uses of metaphors, simile and symbolism.

3. Everything in the New Testament, including all of Paul's writing, is God's word to us, straight from God, and God doesn't change his mind.

4. If someone willfully disobeys the Bible, then they were never Christians, and still aren't.

Question #3 for Bill.

Bill, do you believe that the earth is flat?  Or is the Bible wrong?

  • Matthew 4:8: "Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world"
  • "Daniel 4:10-11."These are the visions I saw while lying in bed: I looked, and there before me stood a tree in the middle of the land. Its height was enormous. 11 The tree grew large and strong and its top touched the sky; it was visible to the ends of the earth. "
  • Luke 4:5: "And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time."

These first three can only happen if the earth is flat.

  • Isaiah 40:22: "He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like gr*****ppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in."
  • Isaiah 11:12 "And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth."
  • Revelation 7:1 "And after these things I saw four angels standing on four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree."

Crusty, my Friend,

Do YOU believe the Bible teaches such silly, inane things?   You merely pick your favorite "atheist" questions, cherry pick a few Scripture verses which you have no idea what they mean -- and believe you have built a case AGAINST God and His Bible.   DUH!

My Friend, when YOU can explain those verses/passages -- IN YOUR OWN WORDS -- and show how they support your atheist question; then, my Friend, we have material for a discussion.

Otherwise, all you are doing is regurgitating worn-our old atheist claims.   Based upon your recent activity, you must be the front runner to earn the "2014 Dumbest Atheist Award!"  Congratulations!

Bless your confused little heart!

Bill

Okay, so I've pointed to scripture that says the earth is flat.  You say, take the Bible literally, or do you?  I can't tell now.

What I have done is built the case that the Bible cannot be taken literally,  Which verses did God not write?  Or was he just wrong?

How is what I've done different than your whole take on Genesis, or your arguments that Noah's flood covered the whole earth?

Crusty, my Friend,

All you have built is an atheist glass outhouse!   You mumble incoherently through what you, and fellow atheists, believe to be the game-winning question for atheism.  Then, you copy/paste some Scripture verses which you, in no way, can truly explain in your own words.   And, YOU call that a serious question?   DUH!

Crusty, if all you want to do is play childish, inane children's games -- play with yourself.   I don't have time to baby-sit you and your tantrums.

IF you seriously want to have an adult discussion -- just let me know.  Otherwise, I have more important things to do -- like clean the trash can.

Bless your childish little heart!

Bill's response to the two questions I've asked so far is typical of those with narcissistic personality disorder.  If they have no good response to legitimate questions of their "expertise" or "authority", they get angry and make excuses as to why they are unable to provide legitimate responses.

Here you have Bill claiming that I'm throwing some kind of tantrum, when in fact he is the one that is fuming.  He's also accusing me of using "atheist" arguments, when in fact I'm using the arguments of some true Biblical literalists, the flat-Earthers.  Notice that over the course of the last few days that he has repeatedly said "DUH" to me.  Who is throwing the tantrums around here?  Were he to act this way in Church, he would probably be stricken with a bolt of lightning.

Just in case anyone missed it, it is of interest that our resident troll throws such childish drivel at Crusty as follows:

1) "Duh! (Repeatedly)

2) "Ciao, baby!"

3) "Shall we dance?" (Accompanied by silly childish cartoon)

4) Let's go play in a different sandbox."

He then follows by asking Crusty:

"Are you sure you are not a Valley Girl in drag?"

DUH!!!!!!

Crusty... do you not know what these scriptures you posted mean? If you have any reading comprehension then you should know!

Going to try and help you understand Crusty:

Matthew 4:8 = means that the devil was near-sighted

Daniel 4:10 = was the base story of Jack and the beanstalk

Luke 4:5 = devil gets excited fast

Isaiah 40:22 = pr.....ppers are doing just fine

Isaiah 11:12 = the outcast of Israel are still outcast; the rest took a flight out of there

Revelation 7:1 = even the angels don't work 24/7 365 days a year

That was not hard to comprehend! I hope I answered any misconceptions you may have had about any of the scriptures Crusty.

Heh, Crusty...

I like how I'm hearing BeeG echo my own words to him at you.

Those are the *exact* words I asked him when he handed me a line of crap back in '09.

Funny...I guess we were all supposed to forget about that.

Also it appears that he's not even an artful dodger.

I've met third graders who are quicker on the uptake -and more original.
