what do you see?

My belief did just the opposite; it set me free. I don't know most humans, but most I am close to have experienced the same. Our circumstances are different, what we've been set free from varies, but have arrived at the same freedom.

Hi Joy,

I agree with you completely! Since becoming a Christian believer in 1987, I have found more peace than I thought existed. Around 1990, a friend who was also a relatively new believer, told me at Bible study one Friday evening, "I have more fun at Bible studies on Friday nights -- than I ever had at bars, night clubs, and Friday night parties."

And, I had to agree with him. Learning God's Word while enjoying great fellowship with other Christians -- was, and still is, a party to me.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Hi Uno:

I disagree with you in that evolution has no purpose. I say that the purpose of evolution, whether physical, social or religious, is a gradual growth towards perfection. Observe human civilization: Slowly, painfully we are overcoming the obstacles in our way... we ARE progressing. The fact that there are ebbs and flows, hills and valleys plateaus and precipices is irrelevant. If you smooth out the curve you see a gradual progressive climb from savagery to civilization.

In the olden days mankind had to reinvent civilization every three or four generations. But in this amazing scientific age this is down to every one or two, perhaps every generation.

The good ship of mankind has steamed out of the sheltered cove of tradition and entered upon the high seas of an unknown evolutionary destiny. I don’t know where it is we are going but it sure is a great ride!

Hi Al,

Are you speaking of Darwinian Macro Evolution -- or of normal Micro Evolution or Adaptation?

You say, "Man is a on a gradual growth towards perfection."

Are you saying that man can attain perfection? If so, wouldn't that make us gods? Are you now adding the Mormon teaching that all men can become gods -- to your New Age and Universalist religious beliefs?

Let's see if we can understand this: You will have a Dwight Mormon/Shirley Maclaine New Age/Ray Smith Universalist religion. Wow! What will you call this new religion?

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill
