I've been enjoying having Taco Garage as a choice for Mexican style food but it seems that they do such a good job with their Chicken Tacos and Chicken Enchiladas (I get them with mild queso rather than the Enchilada sauce) that I haven't tried the beef or steak selections. Also what I enjoy about Taco Garage is the ability to order just what you want in the quantities you want ala carte so to say.
Most of the complaints that I've heard from folks deals with the way they have you to order. By that, I mean you enter the door and walk along the wall and fill out one of their order cards to specify what you want then take it to the register to be rung up. I know there is a multitude of Mexican themed restaurants but I do hope Taco Garage continues to thrive. Taco Garage also had a good Alabama health food score 92 (I believe) and that's always important to me to check on when I enter a dining establishment.
The above two photos are the menu form (front & back) that you fill out to tell them who the order belongs to, if you are eating in or carry out, and then the specific items you want to order. You hand the form to the person at the register and from it they ring you up.
Along the left side of the above photo, you can see the wooden counter where you fill out the menu forms that are shown displayed above the photo above this one. You can't see it as good as I would have liked but you get the idea where it's at/located.
The photo above continues around the restaurant and the photo below is a panoramic type photo of the inside taken from the entrance at the front door. They also have a garage door that can be raised to open the inside to the outdoor dining patio that they have outside for dining outside the restaurant. From the Panoramic photo, you can see the shelf where you fill out the menu papers much better.
