It's not been that long since Killen Methodist opened a new sanctuary building but since it's been opened it's now been condemned because according to experts it could collapse at any moment without warning.   I know that there is a very long delay in replacing the building and I can only think it's because they are trying to assign blame or determine who is responsible?

I can't see how the architects are not the ones responsible because they are the ones that specify spacing and loads on the building as well as materials to be used for the construction of the building including the roof.  All I could think of is what a waste and what a mistake on someone's part.  Again I don't know why there is the hold up that there is but someone is going to have to eat a huge cost because of it and maybe the insurance companies are trying to point fingers at each other and trying to blame someone else.

Either way, a new building has to be built and the existing one has to be leveled or torn down.  Maybe they are just trying to determine if the whole building has to be torn down or if just the roof has to be replaced.  It's a bad situation for the parishioners of the Church either way.

I was under the impression that the new building was drawn up to be an exact duplicate of the existing sanctuary building only larger with bigger capacity and a few changes in the front reception area.  At least that's what I heard.  I think the problem may have to do with errors choosing the supporting members given the span but I'm not sure about that.
