I'm not kidding, for years now I've seen people voting for the most outrageous reasons.

"Algore is much cuter than Dan Quayle"

Check this out. Can we possibly leave the republic in the hands of such imbeciles?

BTW, this has nothing to do with Obama's election, that I can understand. But these are the people who are running the country:

Honestly, there should be some sort of non-partisan test of basic political knowledge before one can vote. It's not beyond any normally intelligent adult, it's a matter of involvement and education.

Okay, granted, they're morons, but did you look at those questions? How about asking "which candidate was accused of being Muslim?" and "which candidate was accused of being a member of a racist church?". These are the types of question that would be the flip side of "Who said 'I can see Russia from my house'?" and "Which candidate has a pregnant teenage daughter?.

Yeah, pretty scary though.
There used to be tests before a voter could register to vote back in the early 1900s. The Supreme Courts said it wasn't legal because it discriminate against minorities that was typical in those days to be uneducated.

It depends on who made out the test as to who gets discriminated against. If a conservative made it out one question that would be a must on there is "Do you know what a Socialist is?" that would have dis-qualified many liberals from voting.

Hi JJ,

From all your past posts -- I would assume you are on the far under-side of forty. Are you telling me that when you get to retirement age, after paying into Social Security all your life -- you will refuse to draw your Social Security check? Remember, this is your money that you have paid in -- and at retirement, you can collect it. Will you refuse to collect it?

If so, can I have your checks sent to me?

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Over the next eight years you will find lots of people sore over Obama winning the election. I have been upset over George Bush for eight years. In fact eight years ago I predicted financial disaster and multiple wars. I attribute those to W, others do not. At this point it does not matter. If you voted you have the right to complain if you wish.

As for finding a few uninformed people at the polls, or even a lot. I don't care if they are Republican or Democrat I will support their right to vote. Yes, many people are misinformed and they shouldn't be. I can't believe how many people believe the e-mails that passed around (about both McCain and Obama).

I fully support doing your own research but even if my candidate loses I will always support the right for every citizen to vote. Education tests, poll taxes, and more recently scare tactics have been used to trick people out of voting. The more ignorant person is the person who uses those tactics rather than supporting education and research.

For now, if you voted for President-Elect Obama like me you are happy. If you voted for Senator McCain I am sure you might not be as happy or might be even upset. If you voted, which many people did, feel free to celebrate or complain. If you did not vote sit down and be quite.

As for the video, it is just part of the propaganda we will be subject to after every election, no matter who wins.

President Obama. Has a nice ring to it. Say it again. President Obama. Wow that sounds good. Is it January 20th yet?

That darn media. Who do they think they are for reporting on the shortcomings of the republican party. How dare they say anything negative about McCain/Palin, they are perfect.

Maybe its you guys who are having a hard time seeing that the media was doing their jobs. Maybe there just wasn't that many good things to report about the republican ticket.

Yes,they were so nice to McCain/Palin that they forgot to interveiw Obama's nice patriotic Pastor. Now there is a nice man.He does so much to encourage racial unity in his church. And the media missed a perfect chance at ratings. They could have had a televised reunion special with Obama and his peace loving freind William Ayers. They neglcted poor Obama.I never even knew what he looked like until his speech after the election. It was totally unbalanced.I can't beleive Obama was able to get his name out.
The media DID report on Obama's ties and/or relationship with Ayers and Rev. Wright. Most media outlets, unlike Shawn Hannity, didn't blow this way out of proportion and try to make something out of nothing. The media reported his true relationships with these people.

Ummmm, Bush didn't run this year.

De Nile is a river in Egypt, not a state in which to live in.

ONLY 1448 DAYS LEFT UNTIL THE NEXT PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.

I think he was actually referring to 2000 and 2004. Or maybe he got confused because McCain was so much like Bush. Either way doesn't matter.

Now that is a cool picture. Obama was intelligent enough to get the press to help carry him in. I bet McCain wish he thought of it. Oh wait. He tried. Fox News and Rush just didn't pull through for him. Maybe next time.

President Obama. Has a nice sound to it, doesn't it? President Obama. Yep. Nice sound.
