In Lawrenceburg ate there today and UG! Very bad slow service BUT that was not the catcher. Those of you who know me I rarely get upset. So here I go and ask for Sweet and Low for my unsweet tea and sugar for my wifes water. GUESS WHAT! Manager YELLS out WE HAVE NO SWEET AND LOW AND NO SUGAR! We have no sweetner! Oh well, we did get the situation redemmed.

Long John Silver's had been going down for years (in my opinion). I think that LJS was sold many years ago and a new group is operating it but I don't know that for sure.

I'm glad you mentioned it and I sure won't be going to LJS anytime soon. I am one that would like to see Captain D's get some decent competition but LJS is not that competition.

i didn't realize there were any of them around here anymore.. thought they had all moved up north. i remember eating at the one in muscle shoals alot when i was just a kid.

There's one in Cullman, one in Huntsville, and several in middle Tennessee. IMO their food always blew away Captain D's until their company problems. The one in Cullman has excellent food. Nothing beats their chicken planks and hushpuppies.
