McCain is probably not as tired as Obama who keeps running away from town hall debates and meetings and likes to vote 'present'. Wink

I'm sorry...who has "suspended" their campaign and is trying to cancel the debate this week? Like Obama said, in order to be President, you have to know how to do more than one thing at a time.

In order to be President, you have to be Presidential. Obama's missteps (IMHO) are already legendary. While a leader can technically function from anywhere, a real leader knows when to get in front of the problem and be on the scene. Forget Nero fiddled while Rome burned...Obama campaigns while the economy (apparently) circles the bowl.

Nevermind the fact that the economy is circling the bowl because there is a Republican in office. Get over yourself. You can tailor this "suspended" campaign situation to fit whatever argument you want to make on McCain's behalf. Just like I could for Obama. But I'd rather do it with more educated people.
The economy is circling the bowl because the Government is incompetent and has forgotten it is the servant, rather than the master, of the people. That blame extends across party lines, well beyond elected officials, down through the bureaucracy. Also, because corporate executives also suffer from a very human affliction known as "greed". To put the blame on Bush and Bush alone would be to endow him with superhuman powers.

Bush, McCain, Obama...very ordinary people who lead or potentially lead the world's only superpower in the most difficult days of our history. We need an extraordinary person. Unfortunately, this is what we have.

Even though Bush hasnt been the perfect President,if you will notice the economy has done nothing but worsen in the last 2 years with our democrat congress. Also we are still getting a trickle down from our Bill Clinton days.

Trickle down from the Bill Clinton days? Where were you when Clinton was president, when we enjoyed a balanced budget, a surplus, more home ownership than ever before in history, more parents being able to afford to send their kids to college, etc. I would like to hear your views of what, regarding the Clinton Era economy has trickled down and caused this mess that we're in now???

Let me clear a few things up regarding your "poll": #1 There have only been 14 votes cast in your poll, so I would hardly call it a representation of how Americans will vote in the general election. #2, it is flawed, because one is allowed to vote more than once, therefore, how do I know that you didn't cast all 10 of those votes for McCain yourself, in order for you to say, yet again, "McCain is in the lead...."

# 1 There have been 15 votes .
# 2 No its not flawed ,because nobody can vote more than once .

It's called a pyramid scheme, those getting in on the ground floor get rich the ones at the end get to pay for it!

It started under Clinton pushing for low income home ownership. Like all good pyramids, going up the profit keeps building, it falls down when the support is no supporting the scheme.

HAHA. You lay awake at night trying to find ways to antagonize me, don't you? Your polls are a joke to me. I do find humor in the fact that you can throw up to my face that McCain is winning in an online local newspaper poll from a small town in Alabama, and for that you think it is representative of the entire voting public. I will bet you $100 right now that John McCain will win Lauderdale county, as well as the State of Alabama. It's not even an issue to me. The bible belt is just too stauchly conservative (dark side).

And, just for the record, I do know a thing or two about polls. I have a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and have spent many, many hours as a paid employee of national campaigns, gubenatorial campaigns, senate campaigns, and volunteered plenty of hours for local campaigns, as well.

I do notice, however, that you are wearing a houndstooth hat in your photo. ROLL TIDE. I was at the Bama/Georgia game this weekend, and have never witnessed such a sight in my entire life.
