I was reading about the new business Batteries Plus on page 4D of Sunday's T-D.

Sonia Lee (the owner) starts out whining that customers had rather talk to men.

I want to give my opinion whether it's important or not.

If I had JUST opened up a business I believe I'd be talking about the products to prove what I do know instead of whining about what customers think of me or how professional or skillful I am.

In my opinion whether it's a man or a woman I would NOT be bragging on myself. I would let the customer decide. If they don't come back thien you know you need to find out why and work on your own self not the customer.

Speaking of skillful and professional is like me saying I'm a christian to get attention.

LOL !!!!!!!!!!!! Hey Sonia Lee thanks for showing a picture of what you sell since all you talked about is your own self. yes , i might drop in one day.

I worked at a local hardware store back in the 80s,... there were 2-4 male salespeople and 2 female, usually 1 but when it was busy there were 2. The men and most of the women preferred the males to wait on them. Im sure the battery business is looked upon as the hardware business is or was at the time as a "guy" thing. IMHO the men were looked upon as being more "knowledgeable"... i didnt say smarter, i think more knowledgeable if different. But, that wasnt the case at the hardware store. I was green as a gourd. Just a snot-nosed kid outta high school. The women had as much knowledge as the women. It was just that the public as a whole didnt and dont see it that way.

To quote dogs article...
