TUSCUMBIA — Auditions for "The Miracle Worker" play at Helen Keller's birthplace, Ivy Green, will be April 11 and April 13 on the grounds at the amphitheater.
Thursday's audition is from 5-7:30 p.m. only for the roles of Helen Keller and children from Perkins School for the Blind.
Saturday auditions begin at 10 a.m. for the roles of Annie Sullivan, Captain Keller, Kate, James, Aunt Ev, Viney, Mr. Anagnos, the doctor, Percy, Martha, and children from Perkins.
Callbacks will be at 2 p.m. Saturday as needed.
Those auditioning must be available for seven weeks of rehearsal and six weekends of performances.
The role of Helen must be a petite girl, 7-10 years old and young looking.
The role of Annie Sullivan will be filled by an actress between the ages of 18 and 26.
