Yes, citizens who dare to try to put up tents on public property should always be beaten senseless by the police. It's the American way.

How about the police attack Bestworking when she is trying to exercise her constitutional rights, and, as "sweet" as she is, she might also start "running her mouth". Anyone who has been here more than an hour knows that she has been known to do just that with a lot less provocation than the police beating her.

wow,,,, what I saw was people trying to get the police to react. I side on the side of police. If someone keeps taunting me, using profanity, eventually I will give them what they ask and put them on their butt. You didn't see this disrespect in the Tea Party demontrations.

The protestors in this clip should be arrested for inciting a riot. For one I am tired of vids showing police reacting not the idoit who started it. In high school there was a big mouth that tried to pick on me,,after a couple of weeks of his mouth, I gave him what he asked for a broken nose.

Spoken like a true member of the blue line.

Cops get paid not to react to people that are not breaking the law.  Hopefully, cops would have more intelligence and self control than a high school kid, but that hope is generally false and proven so everyday.

The Tea Party demonstrations were a bucnh of old white folks shuffling around with teabags on their heads, and the result will be Romney as their candidate of choice in 2012.  The Occupy movement is actually planning to make a substantive change in America.

Pfttttttttttttttttttt!!!! Who is going to look at this destructive bunch of losers and want anything they have to offer?  They are already falling out of the news and before long they'll go skulking back to their basements.

Per SCOTUS, police have NO DUTY to protect any one person, but rather society AT LARGE.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 Dog,

In no way do I think all police are scum. That said, we have all seen the words on the police cars that say "To Serve and to Protect".

In this instance, it was the fact that these protesters planned to put up tents and stay the night. The powers that be ordered the police to un lawfully remove them. That was the bone of contention between the police and the demonstrators. According to witnesses, there were no problems until the police moved in and started cracking heads.

What witnesses extra? You know as well as I do that they didn't go running in "cracking heads". They went in and the protesters got in their faces wanting to push the cops around. Like I said earlier, the police showed restraint that ordinary people couldn't. Why do they need to put up tents and trash public property, and who is protecting them while they do that?

The group has been labeled “neo-****s” by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which is usually a demonization tactic, but the individual shown in the clip, “JT Ready” has attended neo-**** rallies and is closely affiliated with the fringe National Socialist Party

You obviously didn't watch the video. There were interviews that stated the police moved in to remove tents and began assulting those in them. That provoked the crowd. Remember, the crowd are the citizens, you know, "we the people."

So what do we do, deny him his rights under the Constitution and drag him behind a truck?

Or maybe you can get Obama to label him a terrorist and have his killed by drone attack.

 First, your link don't work.

Second, there were no laws being broken. It was peaceful protest, you know the kind gauranteed in the Constitution?  The only time these things turn violence is when the police decide to turn them violent. They are the ones with the weapons.

Best,

Why do you neocons hate the Constitution, and the people ity represents?

Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

That was no link, that was a paragraph from your story from the link YOU posted.

Here ya go sport, from YOUR link:

Armed citizen militia group US Border Guard is making its presence felt at the Occupy Phoenix demonstration to protect free speech rights, arguing that the second amendment prevents the state from abusing the first amendment.

The group has been labeled “neo-****s” by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which is usually a demonization tactic, but the individual shown in the clip, “JT Ready” has attended neo-**** rallies and is closely affiliated with the fringe National Socialist Party.

Look, EVERYONE has rights under the Constitution.  What part of that don't you understand?

These rights extend to those you even don't like or agree with. The man stated in his interview that he didn't agree with the ideology of the protesters but was there defending their right to protest. I'm sure he has done the same thing in other places, ohhh say neo fascist protests?

He stated his purpose for being there was to let the authorites know that they understood their own rights and wouldn't be bullied.  A great American, nuff said.

Police officers have a brain, they are supposed to think with it. They are not called upon to blindly follow orders like a soldier in combat.  They have the right to disobey an unlawful order.  Attacking peaceful protestors exercising their Constitutional rights crosses the legal line and at that moment they are no longer police officers but are thugs and promotors of violence.  Just because they have a badge on, that does not give them a blank check to write the laws as they see fit.

You can post it all day long but you will not change my mind. I know darn well they didn't run in "cracking heads" and attacking people. They went in to follow their REASONABLE orders and the protesters got in their face, then got what they deserved for getting in their way. If I was a cop and a mob surrounded me yelling, cursing, inciting people to violence against me, they'd be lucky that they only got hit with rubber bullets.

Yes, but cops decide everyday that there are laws now worth enforcing. Try to get someone arrested in Colbert County on bad checks or petty theft.

Which is worse, peaCEFUL PROTESTS OR bad check writers?

The Denver city government allowed the protestors to demonstrate in the park, serve food their and sleep in the civic center.  They were expressly forbidden from pitching tents in the park.  When they did so, the police warned them.  When the protestors didn't take the tents down, the police proceeded to enforce the law.

Break the law, suffer the consequences.

Watched the whole video and I observed a lot of people shouting profanities and calling the individual officers vile names and constantly provoking them and the police showing restraint.   Guess what whatever you are doing there is a line not to cross and guess what the protesters crossed it.

I already proved your the one who needs help understanding reality and that you simply go away when indis****ble facts are used against you in the income tax thread.   I did watch the vid and it was not the cops doing the taunting, insulting and provoking in this case.
