Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann's story about a woman who claimed that her daughter suffered "mental retardation" after receiving a vaccine against HPV could fetch the woman's family thousands of dollars. But the family can only collect if Bachmann or the unnamed woman can prove the story is true.

Obama says he cannot guarantee Social Security checks will go out on August 3.

President Obama on Tuesday said he cannot guarantee that retirees will receive their Social Security checks August 3 if Democrats and Republicans in Washington do not reach an agreement on reducing the deficit in the coming weeks.

"I cannot guarantee that those checks go out on August 3rd if we haven't resolved this issue. Because there may simply not be the money in the coffers to do it," Mr. Obama said in an interview with CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley, according to excerpts released by CBS News.

Goebbels, perhaps, but not Himmler. He was mainly into death camps and exterminations.  Really wouldn't be citing a couple of left wingers like them, however.  I'm certain Pravda and Gramma would do as well.

Bachmann is another witless wingnut who cares little for fact checking.  She is a hopeless blurter out of just about anything she thinks her sheeple flock will believe.  And she knows that this feckless base of true believers will never believe information contrary to hers.  That arrangement of the ignorant "informing" the gullible serves Bachmann well in her quest to become the all-time exemplar of the Peter Principle.

I think today's Republicans must be uneducated proletarians who fell for Regan's Jesus blathering.

I would say fascism is a mixture of both.

Fascism was founded during World War I by Italian national syndicalists who combined left-wing and right-wing political views, but fascism gravitated to the right in the early 1920s.[11][12] Italian Fascists described fascism as a right-wing ideology in the political program The Doctrine of Fascism.[13][14] Fascism is anti-anarchist, anti-communist, anti-conservative, anti-democratic, anti-individualist, anti-liberal, anti-parliamentary, anti-bourgeois and anti-proletarian.[15] It entails a distinctive type of anti-capitalism and is typically, with a few exceptions, anti-clerical.[16][17] It rejects egalitarianism, materialism, and rationalism in favour of action, discipline, hierarchy, spirit and will.[18]

I'm guessing you put skinhead=racist=TeaParty as an equation, right?

Keep believing that, it makes elections a lot easier.

A skinhead is a member of a subculture that originated among working class youths in the United Kingdom in the 1960s, and then spread to other parts of the world. Named for their close-cropped or shaven heads, the first skinheads were greatly influenced by West Indian (specifically Jamaican) rude boys and British mods, in terms of fashion, music and lifestyle.[1] Originally, the skinhead subculture was primarily based on those elements, not politics or race.[2] Since then, however, attitudes toward race and politics have become factors by which some skinheads align themselves. The political spectrum within the skinhead scene ranges from the far right to the far left, although many skinheads are apolitical.

No, I'm telling you they are just racist homophobes and crazy..  Seeweed wants to make them right wing. Liberals like to place the blame for everything bad on the right, just like when Giffords got shot. Nuts don't need a political party to be nuts.

i can agree with you for the most part!!!

i do think the religious right has the upper hand... i think they're very good at giving a direction for all the hate these groups produce! that's my concern...

i predicted groups , such as the skinheads, kkk, black panters....., would gain numbers from the "tea party".... they're skilled at directing the anger... i'm truly worried about the growing threat of "homegrown terrorists"!

The Black Panthers gained members from the Tea Party? Hmmmm.

I'm amazed that a loose group of people under the common cause of less government and less taxes is NOW supposed to be able to boost hatred in all fringe groups?

The AstroTurf fad that Pelosi said was a dud?

The 'fake' group of republicans that couldn't win elections?

That useless lazy group of racist fat white men that has a black man running the Tea Party 365 group, David Webb?

That group of 'homegrown' terrorists? Oh, but you can't say terrorist.  That is a bad word.  Remember, the Islamic Jihadists are 'freedom fighters'.

Not so!  I luv 'em--such strong women as  Hilary Clinton, the late Molly Ivins, Nancy Pelosi,

Elizabeth Warren, Joan Baez, the Dixie Chicks!  Great gals all!

I just don't like dipstick dames who sputter unrelenting streams of bad information.  Those types are WEAK women, weak in intelligence and worse, weak in character when they doggedly stick to their bogus stories when proven dead wrong!
