Although it's still in Florence it's located near the Killen Bridge and Killen and two restaurants are planning or starting new restaurants for that area.
First, as it appears now will be Burger King which will be building a new restaurant adjacent to Rick's BBQ and the land is being cleared for construction to begin. I also hear just as soon as Jack's Hamburgers gets through with the Cloverdale Road rebuild they will start a new restaurant to be located across the road from the Dollar General (old Fred's) and just in front of Senator's Busses/RVs.
Always glad to hear about new businesses especially with the pandemic still threatening many. I have also heard that City Hardware may not reopen and that even Rigatoni's might not make it through the pandemic restrictions. I hope that rumor is totally wrong because I loved City Hardware and also Ricatonis and to lose one would be bad but both would be horrible.
On a positive point Stanfield's hopes to open their Hatch Blvd (Old Outback Steakhouse building) location sometime mid-February.
