Hi to my Forum Friends,

It seems that our dear atheist Friend, Deep, sat down in his Gollywood home and wrote a new version of Genesis. To better explain his New Science/New Age/Nothing religion version -- I am reposting the tale, Nothing Comes To Forumland" from several years back. I do believe this makes much more sense than Deep's Genesis.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

NOTHING COMES TO FORUMLAND!

Once upon a time, long ago, in a land far away named Oblivion, there lived two atheist friends. These friends were named Argue and Debate. Now, one thing that both Argue and Debate agreed upon was that they believed strongly in Nothing. This was their faith, their religion, the religion of Nothing. They worshipped Nothing; they adored Nothing; their lives were dedicated to Nothing.

One day, as they were wandering around in search of Nothing, they happened to stumble upon a new valley, the valley of Forumland. Oh, they were so excited. "Maybe," chimed Argue, "we can find others here who know Nothing!"

"Yes," declared Debate, "if not, we can surely introduce them to Nothing!"

They were so excited; possibly there were many people here who either knew Nothing -- or could be lured into knowing Nothing.

"Just imagine the possibilities, if we can convince many others to also believe in Nothing," Debate told Argue. "Then, maybe we can build a cathedral dedicated to Nothing. That will be a glorious tribute to our god, Nothing."

So, in the new valley of Forumland, Argue and Debate set about to plant their seeds and to lay plans for building their cathedral to Nothing. First, they had to develop a relationship with the people of Forumland. "Come," said Debate, "we will get into a conversation with them; assure them that we are Friends; and then we can talk about Nothing."

Walking along in Forumland, the two friends happened upon a small group of Forumland residents. Right away, Argue and Debate began to talk with these good folks. Discovering that many of these folks believed in someone called God; the two friends were somewhat taken aback. But, that did not deter them. They were determined that these folks were going to become followers of Nothing.

Argue began, in his sly way, to lead the group of Forumland residents into a discussion. He asked, "Do you really believe in this God? Why do you believe that He really exists?"

One local fellow, Bill, replied, "Truthfully, until twenty years ago, I was very much like the two of you. I wandered in the world, loving the ways of the world, and following Nothing. But, then a Friend told me about God -- and this Friend was so full of love, warmth, and peace, I realized he must have something that I was lacking. I had Nothing; but, he had his God. I was wandering; but, he was grounded in love and peace."

"So, when he told me about his God, I began to investigate this new Person. I went to church, I went to Bible studies -- and one thing I noticed was that these folks in church and Bible study also had this love and peace I was lacking. Because of this, I kept going to church and Bible study. I kept learning more and more about this God. And, the more I learned, the more I realized that the god, Nothing, that I had been following was just that -- he was Nothing."

"After six months of this, I felt this love and peace coming into my heart. I was surprised; but, I said, 'Yes, God, please come into my heart and bring all of Your love and peace. I want to follow You and Your Son, Jesus Christ.'

"Since then, I have had God's love and peace in my life. Really, Argue and Debate, you should try it. You should go to a Bible-teaching church and Bible study and see if you can rid yourself of Nothing and find God."

Of course, Argue began to argue, "You say that this love and peace JUST came into your heart?"

"No," replied Bill, "As I learned more about God, I began to realize that He had what was missing in my life. Then, I began to seek Him; I wanted to know more about Him. It took me about six months to realize that I wanted Him to be my Lord and Savior. That is when I prayed and asked Him to come into my heart; that is when I was saved -- and love and peace came into my heart -- for He forgave me all my sins."

So, debated Debate, "If it is that easy, I guess that even Hitler might have been saved?"

"Actually," Bill told him, "Yes, even Hitler could have been saved if he had sincerely turned to the Lord in repentance and asked Jesus to come into his heart. That said, I truly doubt that he did -- for he scoffed at everything of God."

"You see,"
Bill continues, "the only sin which cannot be forgiven is the sin of rejecting Jesus Christ; for by rejecting Him you condemn yourself. By rejecting Him, you, by default, choose to follow Satan -- and this action of yours condemns you to an eternity with Satan."

Then, Bill told them, "Even Judas Iscariot could have been saved if he had truly repented. Yet, the Bible tells us that Judas was indwelt by Satan at the Last Supper and never repented. We read about this in John 13:26-27 and Mark 14:21. Oh, Judas was sorry about his action of taking thirty pieces of silver as his price to betray Jesus. And, Judas ended much like Hitler, by taking his own life. We read about this in Matthew 27:3-10."

By now, Debate is incensed, "I suppose you even believe in the myth of Creationism?"

"Actually," Bill smiled, "Yes, I do. If you are sincerely interested I can explain. You see, nature, the human body, the universe, the relationship between the earth, the sun, the planets, moon, and stars -- all of these things declare the glory of God and His Creation. Later, if you are interested I can give you much more detail to prove that Creation is indeed true and factual."

This really gets under Debate's skin; he responds, "Evolution is the only thing that is factual and true. I can give you many web sites which prove evolution!"

Bill responds to Debate's challenge, "No, Debate, rather than showing me what other evolutionists who are devoted to Nothing write; why don't you tell me, in detail, why you believe in evolution."

Debate sputters and fumes, "No, you are really stupid. I tell you that evolution is factual; but you will not listen!"

"No, Debate," said Bill, "You tell me to look at web sites written by others; but, you have not given me any knowledge or facts which come from you. Tell me exactly what you know about evolution and why it is factual. Remember, even Charles Darwin said that if scientist cannot show a transitional 'missing link' fossil record -- then, evolution is gasping its last breath. What can you personally tell me, from your own knowledge, that will show me, absolutely, that evolution is alive and well?"

Angrily, Debate declares, "Bill, you are really stupid. Look at this web site, www.blah-blah-blah.com and there are others. Go to this web site: www.hotair.com Are you so thick headed and moronic that you cannot read what these honest, sincere evolutionists, followers of Nothing, have written?"

"No," Bill once again replied, "I want to know what you, Debate, and you, Argue, know; not what a bunch of other Nothing followers tell you. What do you know? Can you, from your own knowledge, tell me why evolution is factual? Don't just huff and puff, calling me names. Show me the meat! Show me the 'missing link' fossils. Lay it on me!"

Now, both Debate and Argue are boiling, "Bill, you are too stupid for us to waste our time. We don't want to talk with you anymore. Just go away and leave us to tell these good people about Nothing."

Smiling, Bill tells them, "I am sorry, my atheist Friends, but I cannot leave Forumland and allow you to build your cathedral to Nothing. I must make sure that these good folks, my home town family, at least have the Word of God to balance against your words of Nothing."

And, so, the saga of God versus Nothing continues in Forumland; each with their champions; each continuing to share his truth or His Truth -- until one day Jesus comes and Raptures His followers away -- leaving Forumland totally in the hands of Nothing.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Stay tuned for the next exciting episode of "Nothing Comes To Forumland."

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Bill,

Don't you just love it when Christians all gather, agree with one another -- and each actually believes what the other is spouting!

Now, that, my friend, is the PERFECT example of the Blind Leading the Blind!

Sounds like a typical Sunday morning Church service to me.

I have repeated your words before just with another point of view. As usual you replied with a diversion, not really addressing the point.

Bill, you are the Blind Leading the Blind. You have never answered anyone's questions with an intelligent response. Your pious attitude is getting tiresome.

I am not trying to change the way you think or feel. I am not judging you. Whatever works for you is fine with me. I only ask in return you treat others the same way.

I feel that my actions in some ways are more Christian than yours.
Bill, you are really grasping here.
You should stop insulting people if you really expect to gain souls for the army of God.
Really. All you are doing is fueling the fire.
You really suck at evangelizing. And I am not an atheist, so please, no monkey graphics.
I feel that you are giving Christians a bad name, and am asking you to respectfully consider that you could be doing Christianity a disservice with your attitude and animosity.
I have told you this before- I don't mean to be cruel, but you should know that your behavior doesn't represent Christians. I am a Christian, and I am embarassed by your behaviour.
Where is the humility? the compassion? the servant that you are called to be?
What I see is an arrogant, childish, who cannot answer direct questions, cannot back up his views, and has no empathy toward those who struggle with matters of faith.
You are supposed to represent Christ's light in this world. But all I see is yuckiness.
Sorry if this is hurtful, but you need to know how poorly this is coming across. Don't you see that among Christians and Non-Christians alike, in all discord in this forum, the common denominator is BILL GRAY.
You need to pray about that, and see if you are really serving your Lord with your words.

Jax,

I am an atheist. In terms of kindness towards my fellow humans, it's quite possible I'm more of a Christian that Gray.

I say this with some reticence. I'm not that good. But, I am not evil. Therefor, I qualify.

Excellent post, but sadly Bill sees anything negative to/about him as persecution so in his eyes he is doing the "Lord's work".

The Bible says that disputes between brothers (Christians) in Christ is a shame and should not occur. Bill doesn't get it.
Hi VP,

Wow! All of that just because I do not agree with your Roman Catholic doctrines!

VP, you can cuddle and hold hands with Deep and other atheists all you like -- they are still going to be atheists and are still going to be preaching their religion of atheism on the Religion Forum.

You may think you are being a good Christian by supporting the atheist teachings, rhetoric, and ranting of Deep, et al -- but, all you are doing is putting your stamp of approval on atheism. If that is your desire -- then, by all means, continue.

But, as Joshua said, in Joshua 24:15, "If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: . . . but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

Ask yourself if you are allowing your dislike for me, because I disagree on some of your church doctrines, to cause you to serve the wrong god or gods. When you support and approve of atheism -- that is exactly what you are doing. And, no matter your reasons -- that can never be justified before God.

Deep starts a discussion mocking the book of Genesis -- and you think it is wonderful and applaud his good writing. I post a narrative on atheism -- and you pounce on me like my writing is Satanic. Who is that serving? And, you justify it because I disagree with you on Roman Catholic doctrines?

You really need to ask yourself if your believe and support God -- or if you believe and support the gods of atheism.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

I'm beginning to see how this works. If you don't agree 100% with Bill, then you are an atheist. Guess there are a lot of us that fit in that category by his definition. I myself have never had a decent discussion with him and I have seen very few others who have. After reading through many of these threads I have come to one conclusion. He is going to be very lonely someday because from what he post, he will be the only one in heaven,
To all the post and try to discuss anything with Bill:
I actually enjoy reading your responses. They have some thought provoking points.
Sorry Bill, I know that makes me a bad person in your eyes. By the way, is there even one person here that has ever agreed with your viewpoint? Another direct question you will ignore.

Perhaps you should re-read my post.
It had absolutely nothing to do with Catholicism. NOTHING. I know you will never understand the catholic doctrines, and I don't really care, to be honest.
And this may come as a shock, but not everything has to do with you.
I am not serving any other gods, nor do I approve of atheism. I serve ONE GOD, Jesus Christ. I believe I have made that clear.
My first sentence in my response to his "Genesis" post was....I don't believe it.
So- yes, I can tell him his thoughts were well written, although I don't agree with the message.
The only one questioning and attacking my Christianity, Bill, is you. You ask if I am serving other gods by "being friends" with atheists.
I did not put a stamp of approval on anything- that's not my job.
But yes, I absolutely encourage and welcome dialogue between all people.
You sound like "sour grapes" Bill. Get over it, and accept some criticism from time to time. Heaven knows you can dish it out!!
I was trying to kindly tell you that you are not doing Christianity much good by being hateful. You turn it around on me, questioning my devotions.
Don't you see how wrong that is?

Good grief, Bill! What makes this all about you!?!! If any of us have anything positive to say about anything that's not about you & your ravings, it's because we don't agree with you or in VP's case, it's because you don't agree with her Roman Catholic doctrines, (those are your words). Get over yourself!!!
Who made you God?

If anyone should be asking anything, you should be asking yourself why you have such an obsession with some people on here.
I feel very sorry for you.

No Bill, it's because you never answered her question and have no intention too because then you will have to admit you lied. I'm no Catholic or atheist and I asked you to answer it as well.

You twisted the scriptures until you broke them. You have mangled the Bible so much God would not recognize the New Improved Bill Gray Version.

As for Forumland, you have already posted this 4 times. That is enough Bill. I did not like it the first time and it has not improved with age.

Since you seem to pick and choose what parts of the Bible you follow and what you don't, then I guess all of us can do the same.

I'll skip that commandment on lying, I don't like it. I might skip that one on adultery too. It could cramp my sex life. I don't see why I can't take something I want, God would want people to share.

Thank you Bill, now that I see the Bible through your eyes, it makes things so easy for me.

I'll go back to the Wiccans. They are most honest and loving.

Bill, I've included VP's post from the other topic. Show us where she is showing support for anything besides BCBG's ability to write.
She DID NOT put a stamp of approval on atheism. I don't expect an answer because you can't give one to support your ravings.

well, although I don't agree with your theory, I must give you credit for good writing, BCBG. That was well done.
I don't believe it, of course , but I am proud of you for stepping up and explaining your theory.
Here we have in a nutshell the problem with the religious nuts wanting to "take us back to a Christian nation" ie: a theocracy. (we never were by the way)
If people like Mike Huckabee (aka Gomer Pile) have their way to change the Constitution to be "more like the Bible", then instead of a Democratic Republic, we would need to have a "judge" to give the call as to whether something was "Biblical or not".
Now, that brings us back to Bill Gray who seems to covet that title, at least on here. As b50m alluded to , this "judge" can pick and choose which laws apply and which don't.
Exactly why we want to keep our country secular and free.
I know why Bill never gives an answer or agrees with anyone who doesn't think like him. It is one of two things. He either can't read or he doesn't comprehend what he's read. It is amazing he can write but he can't read. Silly quips is not an intelligent response. At least ramm gave a valid reply.
I have said this before and I'll say it again: Bill Gray is working for Satan. It should be obvious to everyone by now. Anyone who can write clearly, as Bill can, can THINK clearly too. He ISN'T STUPID, people! The insults, the deliberate way he "misunderstands" people like Vplee, the way he twists the Bible to his own purposes, all of these things point to the truth.

And the truth is, it is Bill Gray's mission to cause arguments and divide Christians, and more importantly, to take our eyes and minds OFF of the Lord.

It is also his mission to make sure that athiests and agnostics want to stay as far away from Christianity as possible.

Stop talking to him people! He is succeeding in his mission only because we allow it. OUR egos are allowing it! We all want to be the one to finally put him in his place, but I tell you, he is ALREADY in his place - in the lap of Satan.

Jesus would not want us to be on this forum arguing with one of Satan's representatives. He knows that Bill has already chosen. There is nothing any of US can do to loosen Satan's grasp on Bill, but if we keep dancing with him, we are also in danger of falling within that grasp.

We should be here talking about our love for the Lord, sharing the joy He has brought into our lives, sharing the trials we endure in life and praying for each other. We should be here discussing ways we can better show God's love to others. We should be working to make a positive difference in our world, our community, and yes, even the community of this forum. Through God, all things are possible, but when we allow Satan to interfere, things get all twisted up and we end up like we are here now, feeling a much stronger sense of outrage than kinship with each other through the Lord.

Please. Let's stop this now. Don't talk to Bill anymore. If you don't feel that you can put him on "ignore", go ahead and read his posts, but don't respond. We COULD have a pretty good thing here if we all did that.

Aren't you scared to death? Eeker

Is b50m a witch ? Cool

Scared to death? LOL, nope, I'm good semi. Thanks for being concerned. Smiler Bill has already let me know where I stand in his Christian world.

A 'witch' practices black magic and curses seeweed, Wiccans only use white magic or what Christians would call prayers! Wink

Isn't that a nice way to look at it? Smiler
I hope all you people making these truthful remarks about Bill do realize that Cali. is about 3 hours behind Alabama, time-wise. As soon as Bill finishes his Sunday AM services and gets back to his 'puter, he's gonna' gitcha'
You watch, he will post a perfectly composed three page explanation why all ya'll are wrong and he alone is right.
Never mind that the post will have nothing to say about questions you have asked, nor any intelligent response to your opinions.
"Bill said it and you must believe it." Don't go and try to think for yourself.

Hi B50,

Yet, there is one HUGE difference between Christian prayers and Wiccan prayers. We Christians pray to God, the one and only God. While you in the New Age and Wiccan religions have many, many gods to whom you can pray.

A Christian's prayers are answered by a true, preexisting God -- sometimes, "Yes" -- sometimes, "No" -- sometimes, "Wait a while, My child." But, always answered.

New Age/Wiccan prayers are like spitting into the wind -- all you get is a mess in your face.

Really, B50, when you reference Christianity, you should be more specific what you mean.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill
