No, only fundamentalists are truly Christians. lol. every one else is new age. Roll Eyes
In fact, they have the easiest time in this life- they say "yes" to Christ, and have no accountability, and their sins are invisible, and they are completely invinsible.
Right, Bill? it's like a get out of hell free card.

(by the way, i don't buy it for a second- and I do consider 'once saved always saved' to be false doctrine, heresy and completely contrary to God's Holy Word. downright dangerous).

Veep I am in complete agreement on this. I fear that hell will be full of people who professed Christ, but followed their own will and not His.

No, B50,

Not all churches, or people, who claim to be Christian -- are Christian. Look at yourself. You declared yourself to be New Age/Christian/Wiccan. Sorry, that is impossible -- for the New Age and Wiccan religions are totally opposite of Christianity. They are totally at the other end of the spectrum. So, no, a person cannot be a practicing New Ager, a practicing Wiccan -- and be a Christian believer. Oil and water do not mix.

There are many cult churches which try to wear the Christian hat -- and, they may talk some of the talk, but, they do not walk the walk. Just because the church is called Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints -- does not make it a Christian church. The Jesus Christ they mean is not the Jesus Christ of the Bible. Their Jesus is a created being, spirit brother of Lucifer (Satan) -- and is not the preexisting God the Son.

Just because the Jehovah's Witnesses have "Jehovah" in their church name -- does not change their status from being a cult church.

So, yes, if you are going to discuss Christianity; you do need to be specific about which churches, which religions, which people you mean.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Hi VP,

Your ranting only shows one thing: You have spent more time studying Traditions and Catechisms -- and little time studying the TRUE Word of God, the Bible. Maybe you should put those other books in your closet, get out your Bible, wipe the thick layer of dust from it -- and really get into God's Word.

You will be amazed at the revelations it will give you. Especially about salvation and eternal security.

Or, you can continue to play the ostrich game and hide you head in the sand of the Roman Catholic sand box -- and declare only the Pope right. Whatever!

And, VP, gaining the blessings of the atheists on the Religion Forum -- is not really a blessing!

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Hi TCF,

It all depends upon the church and the pastor -- but, not the color of his skin. If he is preaching the Prosperity Gospel, the Social Gospel, the Name It And Claim It Gospel, or any of their offshoots -- you are most likely right that I would not care to hear them.

However if they are someone like the late Rev. E. V. Hill, the pastor of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles -- I would really enjoy hearing them.

Trash talk, regardless of the color of the talker's skin -- is still trash talk -- even if he/she is claiming to be spiritual.

Would I call it New Age or Liberal? Only if it was! If I saw Shirley Maclaine sitting in the audience -- then, I would call it New Age. If I saw Hillary Clinton sitting in the audience, then I would call it Liberal.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Hi Paw,

Please show me where, in my last response to VP, that I mentioned anything such as "that veiled remark about 'their' religion?" You are putting words into my writing that I did not write.

Are you being deceitful on purpose -- or, just can't seem to help yourself?

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Is this not part of your post?

Hi Paw,

Yes, and if you will READ IT, you will find that the "their" was referring to offshoots of the previously mentioned forms of theology -- NOT to any religions. And, by the way, that post was written to TCF, not VP.

Paw, please don't be so eager to disagree and condemn -- that you fail to read the post before writing a response.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill.
If YOU would read my post, I said "also". Since my post was made after your bashing of VP and your reply to TCF. I simply was mentioning both your replys together.

Don't try to side-step the issue. You assumed, since the church mentioned was a black church, that they would be teaching some form of religion you were against!

Not at all.
As I have told you before, my Bible and my God are the center of my life.
Just because I don't subscribe to your doctrines does not make me any less educated in Scripture than you.
I can (and have) cite many passages which deny "once saved, always saved".
I will not do it again, because this is becoming a "round and round". And you have always ignored those Scriptures.
Don't claim to know ANYTHING about my faith, my devotion to God, or how dusty my Bible may or may not be.
You have no idea about such things.
I think you don't like me because I represent the "other" way...and you will refute anything I say. And when you cannot refute it justly, you will blame catechesis.
That is just wrong on so many levels.
So I will ask you again, do you really think in your heart that you are doing God's work here?
Do you not see a pattern of animosity between you and **Pretty much** everyone on this forum?
You need to start taking responsibility and humble yourself. You might just learn something.

Hi Paw,

Would you care to explain that accusation?

Are you saying that all of the Prosperity Gospel, the Social Gospel, the Name It And Claim It Gospel preachers are black?

Not so, my confused Friend, most are not black.

It seems to me that is YOU who is denigrating black pastors and churches. I, for one, have great respect for them. And, as I said earlier, I had very great respect for E. V. Hill; loved to hear him speak. He was a great pastor.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Not all people that claim to be Christian are Christian? Go look in the mirror, Bill.
“Christians” like yourself is what give Christians a bad name.

VP ranting??!? If you would wipe that dust off of yours, you would be amazed what you might find in it. You sure wouldn’t find what you’re doing

This is rich!! Bill Gray telling someone not to be so eager to disagree and condemn!!

Paw shouldn’t be so so eager to disagree and condemn???? Kinda like the pot calling the kettle black, ain’t it?

Yep, and Ram is yanking his chain half the time.

Then I need to try harder to decipher Ram's posts and give him more credit.

It helps to have about half a fifth under your belt.

Don't hold your breath while waiting for an answer, Crusty. He can't name any, except possibly ram. Big Grin

No, if he pays close enough attention, Rram won't pass muster as a conservative Christian, and will therefore be on Bill's very long list of those of us destined for Hell.

Hi my Fishy Friend,

Not to worry! We will have lots of company -- billions of saints living eternally in the presence of God.

If I were you, I would make reservations TODAY on the Glory Train -- we never know which breath will be our last one. I would hate to see you have to say, "Oops! I blew it! I waited too long and now I am on that slippery slope!"

Truthfully, I would love to have you join all of us in heaven. Think about it.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Oh but wait, "Had Enough" thinks Bill is the cat's meow. As a matter of fact, if I didn't know better I would be tempted to think old Bill created a character that would "join" this forum to defend him.

As Bill himself would say, "Hmm...you think?"
