"Not over their dead bodies.

Cops are warning Mayor de Blasio and Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito to stay away from their funerals should they be killed in the line of duty.

The Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association distributed a waiver to members, blaring: “DON’T LET THEM INSULT YOUR SACRIFICE!”

Cops were encouraged to sign and submit the “Don’t Insult My Sacrifice” waiver to ban the cop-bashing pols from their funerals.

“I, as a New York City police officer, request that Mayor Bill de Blasio and City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito refrain from attending my funeral services in the event that I am killed in the line of duty,” the waiver states.

“Due to Mayor de Blasio and Speaker Mark-Viverito’s consistent refusal to show police officers the support and respect they deserve, I believe that their attendance at the funeral of a fallen New York City police officer is an insult to that officer’s memory and sacrifice.”

Officers can download the form on the PBA’s website and drop off a signed copy to their PBA delegates.

The mayor traditionally attends funerals for fallen officers.

Sources say the revolt was sparked by the mayor’s lack of support for the NYPD following the grand jury’s decision not to indict the officer involved in the death of Staten Island man Eric Garner."

Personally, I thought the officer should have been indicted for negligent homicide,  However, Comrade de Blasio has so vilified the police I can't blame them.  NYC brought their murder rate down from 2,400 annually (mostly minorities) to the present 290.  The left politicizes crime and it never ends well.

On July 17, 2014, Eric Garner died in the Tompkinsville neighborhood of Staten Island, New York, after a police officer put him in what many view as a chokehold[7][8][9] for 15.3 seconds,[10][3][11] but others say was a headlock, with no choking taking place.[12] The use of chokeholds is a violation of New York City Police Department (NYPD) policy. Garner was initially approached by officer Justin Damico on suspicion of selling "loosies", single cigarettes from packs without tax stamps.[13] After Garner expressed to the police that he was tired of being harassed and that he was not selling cigarettes, officers moved to arrest Garner. After Garner resisted arrest,[14] officer Daniel Pantaleo, also on scene, put his arm around the much taller Garner's neck and attempted to pull him backwards and down onto the ground, as shown in a recording of the event. After Pantaleo removed his arm from Garner's neck, four officers restrained Garner who repeated "I can't breathe" 11 times while lying facedown on the sidewalk.[15][3][5] However, the police have argued that before Garner passed out, there was no reason to believe that he was in serious condition, since they assumed that if Garner was unable to breathe, he would also have been unable to speak.[15][16][17] The medical examiner found no damage to Garner's windpipe or neck bones.[18] After Garner was handcuffed and had passed out, the police did no CPR on Garner because they claim he was still breathing, and that it would be improper to do CPR on someone who was breathing on their own.[19] Garner was pronounced dead approximately one hour later at the hospital.[20][21]

After the incident, city medical examiners concluded that Garner was killed by neck compression, along with "the compression of his chest and prone positioning during physical restraint by police". Contributing factors included bronchial asthma, heart disease, obesity, and hypertensive cardiovascular disease.[1][2][22][23] The medical examiner ruled his death a homicide, indicating Garner was killed by either a single person or multiple people; however, homicide does not by itself imply murder or even wrongdoing, such as in the case of negligent homicide or justifiable homicide. As a result of Garner's death, four EMTs and paramedics who responded to the scene were suspended without pay on July 21, 2014;[24] the two paramedics have since been returned to their regular duties. Officers Damico and Pantaleo were placed on desk duty, and Pantaleo was stripped of his service gun and badge.[25]

I suspect that there will be a major wrongful death lawsuit, especially for the actions of the EMT's and paramedics who were called there along with the police.

The EMT's came to pick up the pieces and got suspended without pay. The cops that killed him and ignored his condition got office duty and they call that not supporting them?

By the way Stanky, judging from the "tone" of your post, you are the worst butt kisser I've ever read.  They thought he might be doing something illegal and killed him.

Just three, there are plenty more, and more recent. Of course you don't care, taking up for whites wouldn't push the left's bull hockey fake PC agenda. One thing though, it looks like people are getting fed up with this one sided "caring".

Gilbert Collar, white unarmed 18 year old shot by Trevis Austin, black cop, in Alabama in 2012. Austin was not indicted.

James Whitehead, white unarmed serviceman shot by Robert Arnold, black cop, in 2010 in Texas. Arnold was not indicted.

Dillon Taylor, 20 year old unarmed white guy shot by unnamed black cop in 2014. The officer was not indicted.

Do you mean this police, that died in the line of duty?

Meanwhile, Comrade de Blasio is all buddy-buddy with the Cuban government -- the most racist government in the western hemisphere!

This from someone with his head up  his anoxic region. Yes, the death should not have happened, but I haven't seen anything that refutes the grand jury's decision. At worst, the police need better training to recognize the danger asthmatics have with getting air into their alveoli and that someone who can speak may not be actually breathing. The EMT's and paramedics should have known better and should have had an inhaler and oxygen mask on hand.

Problem is, those being arrested do not come with "pre-existing conditions" tattooed on their foreheads although those resisting arrested should be presumed to be stupid.

The cops didn't kill him. You might want to stop posting things like that. I mean who knows, someone might call you on spreading lies and accusing people of killing

Best, you're amazing in your ability to ignore the evidence in the film. You listed 3 others, lets get behind the news sources and force good investigations of them. I'm 100% in agreement with you.

Is that the number of murders or the number killed by the police?

The rest of you, I suppose you can keep backing the police, no matter what the evidence.

Per Wikipedia; New York metropolitan area had 19.9 million population in 2012. That works out to be 1 murder per each 7,915.66 people. We can't do that well in Florence Al. Now NYC is down to 290, that works out to 1 murder for each 65,517.24 population.NYC has got to be the safest place in America.

Look jt, the NYPD and other departments have enough problems without everyone's imaginary problems being added.  Yes, there are bad cops and jokers who shouldn't have been given a real badge and sidearm and I have met a few of them, but until I see some damming evidence in the news contrary to what has been presented to the grand jury, I'll side with the good citizens who decided not to prosecute the officer. If you don't like the law that the LEO's were enforcing, move to NYC and vote out the politicians who created the law. If you feel the need to beat up on the NYPD for something that they probably deserve a flogging over, try this:

Two Rookie police officers assigned to the NYCHA Louis H. Pink Houses were conducting what is called a vertical patrol. Which is when officers patrol a public housing complex from the roof to the ground floor, stopping on each floor to see if there's any crime underway. [2] Officer Shaun Landau and Officer Peter Liang, were walking down a darkened stairwell with no lights – Officer Liang carrying a flashlight in one hand and his gun drawn with the other. The 28-year-old unarmed Akai Gurley was visiting his girlfriend and getting his hair braided before Thanksgiving. He entered the stairwell about one floor below Officer Liang. News reports indicate that Liang was allegedly startled and fired a single shot. He hit Gurley right in the chest. And he died.[3]

You're the one with the ability to ignore facts and post your ignorant the 'cops killed him' BS and think your opinion trumps a grand jury. You are not the least bit interested in whites being killed by blacks. If you were you wouldn't need me to point these cases out to you.

Plus, although jt thinks they can, people don't get to tell the cops if they will or won't be arrested. The police decide how it's going to go, not the criminal.

An excellent example of how progressives will twist information.  NYC proper -- the five boroughs and Governors Island have a population of about 8,475,500..  That is the population and area the NYPD is responsible for.

http://www.worldpopulationstat...-new-york-city-2014/

In 2013, the total number of murders was 333.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/...-2013_n_4520192.html

The 290 count was for 2014, so far.

I consider the testimony of the witnesses and the results of the autopsy to be evidence.

What's yours?  Racist?  Hatred of cops?  Come on man.  I know you can't provide a link to your evidence given you don't know how to work Google, so please give me a clue.  Even a hint will do.

Funny during the rides to and from the airport this week the transportation drivers were from all walks of life.  2 were even recent immigrants to America all believed that Officer Wilson was justified in shooting Brown.  Funny a young man from Eastern Europe who recently immigrated to America told me in America hard work, manners still pay off in America and it is still the land of Opportunity!!!

Chief Burbank said the officer who killed Taylor was not white, but he didn’t elaborate further.

“Officers should be held to extremely high standards, but that cannot be an impossible standard,” he added.

Taylor’s supporters say his death hasn’t received enough media attention.

“We want answers — we need them,” Aaron Swanenberg, a longtime friend of Taylor, told The New York Times.

Dire,as I noted in the posting, I used Wikipedia numbers. If I used your numbers, 2400 equals one murder per each 3506.25, 290 equals one per each 29137.9 people. NYC is still pretty safe.

Using Wiki is not a good excuse for not using the real area of NYC, not the metro area.  Metro

Atlanta has half the population of Georgia.  But, the city doesn't.

Yes, thanks to reforms by a Republican mayor and his police commissioner, NYC brought down crime significantly.  Nanny Bloomie had enough sense not to mess with that.  Comrade de Blasio appears to be on the road to dismantling the sa***uards -- time will tell.

People like jt are quick to say what they think the cops should have done, but you never see them say what the criminals should have done. Wonder why that is? The fat older guy, the one that flat out told the cops how it was going to be, knew what medical conditions he had. So, why would anyone with his medical conditions think they were going to fight a bunch of cops? Sure doesn't sound like he was afraid of the cops. He was a petty criminal. He thought he should be left alone to be a petty criminal. He was going to make his own laws. How did that work out for him?

WHAT DID YOU SEE???? Officers ordered the suspect to put the assault rifle down, and that is what he is doing, Right? it appears he is complying and then they shoot him!!!

OMG, he is shot! Is that what you saw? Do you want to know what it is like to work the streets as a cop, and what risks our Officers face daily? Watch the video again... Watch the suspect's right hand while he places the rifle down with his left hand. What you don't see by facing this Criminal face to face, but the Officer behind the suspect does see, is the suspect pulling a hidden handgun from his rear pants, with his right hand. {back-up yells "Gun"
before firing}

Watch as the bad guy goes down..... the handgun is still in his right hand. This is a reminder... What you think you see at does not always tell the truth.

Police and law abiding citizens need to show respect to criminals.  Criminals have chosen to rob, assault, murder, and destroy others' property.  If they hadn't chosen this station in life, we wouldn't have need for penal institutions, lawyers, police, locks, security cameras, tabloids or politicians.  Hail to the poor misunderstood miscreants.

Yeah...I read the description after watching the video too.  Still looks staged. Notice there are no names and dates to verify.

But how is this relevant to what happened to Eric Garner?
