Our American flag is the best looking flag Ive seen .

What I dont understand is why obama wants to have a different flag than what we call our flag ? Why does he have to "CHANGE " it too?
He's a fool in my book.
He should be made to wave Ole Glory if he wants to represent us as a president . Roll Eyes

There have been a large number of comments about Obamalamadingdong's perceived feelings about the flag...the lapel pin thing, the holding his hand over his heart thing. He has to know how a significant part of America feels about these actions. He's either indifferent to our feelings, or he's too stupid to understand them. Pick one.
According to ChicagoBusiness.com:

Sender LLC is a Chicago brand consultancy and design studio whose clients include Crain’s. “We were looking at the “o” of his name and had the idea of a rising sun and a new day,” Mr. Sender said. “The sun rising over the horizon evoked a new sense of hope.” ChicagoBusiness Article

In addition, it should be noted that the stripes also suggest the plains, the breadbasket of America. If you bother to go online and do your research you will find that some graphic designers are hailing it as one of the best campaign logos EVER. In fact, 2 republican candidates have used it as the basis for their logos. As someone who has studied branding and graphic design, I agree, it's brilliant.
You are talking to someone that serves his country and knows that there is more to life and leadership than a pin. I could care less if the President had on a lapel pin or not. An emblem does not make a leader. If Sen McCain didn't wear one I could care less. Presidents from the past didn't wear them. Did that make them any less American loving? No. Get over it. A grown man made up his mind and stuck with it. If wearing or not wearing a lapel pin is an issue for you then you have major problems. There are more important things going on in the world.
I stand by my statement: He has to know how many Americans feel about his failure to wear a lapel pin, whether or not justified, and he's either too stupid or too arrogant to pay attention to it. If someone made a big deal about it, all he would have to do would be to wear one to deflect the criticism...unless he had some sort of moral reason to NOT wear one.
What an ignorant thread to start. This field has been plowed several times before.
tnt, let me ask you a question since you seem so sensitive about the flag issue:
Why does John McCain not even have one single flag on his straight talk bus ?
Why did John McCain choose for his plane an Airbus made in Europe, instead of a Boeing made in the good ole USA like Obama did ?
You are trying to make this an issue because REAL issues like the economy, taxes, and everything else that actually makes a difference in our lives is on the side of Obama.

On the other hand, all this crap about Obama and McCain and their buses and planes dosn't mean squat. Just diversions by the Republicans.
Ignorant thread, indeed.

None of you seem to get it, which I find not at all surprising. Defend Obamalamadingdong to your last breath, if you like. Point out the "real issues". Realize that for a significant number of Americans, perceived patriotism is indeed a "real issue". McCain's patriotism has never been questioned, but Hussein's is still an unresolved "real issue" with many of us. As Obama chooses to ignore it, we must draw our own conclusions about how he feels about what he claims to be "his country".
If a person's name is such an obstacle to your belief of one's patriotism, then you are crazy, and a bigot.
I see no reason to question Obama on his patriotism.
If you want to question anybody's patriotism, you should look no further than George W Bush, who has taken our country from greatness to near ruin. McCain has embraced Bush (both literally and figuratively). If you wish to question patriotism , start there.
I am no Obama fan, I am actually in McCains camp but this thread is garbage. The aircraft Obama was using that had the big American flag on the tail was a North America Airlines chartered aircraft. Link
Their aircraft are painted like that with the big flag on the rudder "tail". His and McCains current aircraft has the American flag before the N-Number like almost all commercial aircraft.

I do however have problem with Obama sometimes not covering his heart during the National Anthem.

He really did not have to do that, the japanese used a "rising sun of the new day" back in the 1940's, he could have put that on his plane instead and saved some money.....

Yeah but the COLOR SUCKS!
