Just how is asking for assurances the property won't be sold sniping? Ms. Smithson had it on the market less than two years ago...what changed?

And as for architects, I know only one, but he does specialize in historical restoration. For all I know, he may love what you've done...or he may not. It will be interesting to find out.

As far as helping, why does Ms. Smithson need all those volunteers? The admin of the Shoals Opinion Forum called her rich. Why should she need my help? I think I'll help those who've lost everything through no fault of their own.

Fire my dear I would assume the property is still “on the market” if she chooses to sell it.

What has that got to do with those of us helping her preserve it as volunteers. She may be rich as a Shah for all I know. Look I’ve made my living for the past 40 years restoring historic properties and never for free so I have a love for this that you don’t understand. You are counter to the task at hand and sound like an idiot when you are addressing the issue. I think the source of your problem lies somewhere with the not-included element of ignorance. You had the opportunity to come out weekend last and survey the property; did you appear? Obviously not. I don’t have the authority to invite you out to the house to bathe your burning forehead but I can meet you or anyone else off the property to answer questions as to restoration procedure regarding any property.

Just got my internet back. And tree off the porch.... but Ripples of Sweetwater is correct in that statement. Yeah I don't know a thing about lead abatement, encapsulating the remaining lead paint or anything of that nature....

7. Sweetwater is exempt from "lead paint abatement" standards.

False - According to EPA documents dated May 6, 2010, no building designated for public use is exempt from Renovation, Repair & Painting codes established by the U.S. Government.

Tru, no one gnaws paint of wood anymore. lol lead paint is my fran; it preserves woodwork I might never have seen. Don’t mess with my lead paint; I’ll have you put in the penitentiary.

By the way, what is all the frenzy about the paint? I mean man like I don’t get it.

You don't get it because you don't know. Improper sanding and scraping allows lead particles into the air, thus you end up breathing it It also absorbs into the skin. Lead in the blood stream isn't a good thing. While this is generally over years of working in it, it still has to be done in accordance with laws.  It can affect your brain and allow you to make ignorant posts, like you have been making.

I better not catch you sanding on my historic surfaces; I’ll put you in a penitentiary .

You won't sand on it if I'm there. That just shows how destructive you would be if turned loose.

A bull in a china shop.

Go get your grandmothers antique table strip it and sand it.

tru, dade and elb the three stooges. lol

Chipped paint. Just beautiful painted over.

Want a new slick board go to Lowes buy one and get some "painter" roll some paint on it.

I can train you three if you have the jack but it will cost you all some bucks.

Look, this contingent of ignorant *****les criticizing efforts at Sweetwater are obviously offspring of yankee soldiers who burned our heritage to the ground ,for the most part then raped our farm animals and disappointed our Suthun Ladies and are now surfacing to destroy what little is left ;you yankee *******s go home , take your sandpaper with you. No wonder those significant preservationist outside the area refer to the attitude up here as ignorance. Dade, Tru and Elb I want to see your birth certificates. Lol hahaha.

My friends.

Deep.Fat is none other than the dishonest and thoroughly disrepu-table Rammlimn/buffalo.

Deep(dot)Fat is a fraudulent misrepresentation, and typical of the cowardly and immature nature of the lunatic who has appropriated the handle.  It is to the discredit of this low, intellectually-challenged moron to have tried to perpetuate this con upon you.

Imitation is not always the highest form of flattery.  Sometimes it is the attempt of the weak-minded to assume credit to which they are not entitled.  Such is the case with Deep(dot)Fat.  Pitiful.

Let me compare apples to apples being I have personally seen the handy work of both Deep Dot and yourself. DD's handy work can be viewed in various locations across the great state of Alabama, from plantation homes to the Capital in Montgomery. I think his re****tion in historical restoration more than speaks for its self and far outweighs the blubbering attempt to compile an unimpressive rhetoric to glorify your apparent booze induced utube sermon on some sort of deranged atheistic salvation.  Yes …PITIFUL would be the word!
