Their lawsuit won't bring back their child, but I hope it gets them plenty to take care of any other children and live well for the rest of their lives. The accident was totally preventable! But the main thing is, that this may make it where accidents like this will be prevented in the future if all necessay steps are followed and adhered to.
I never trusted other people with my small kids and water. Even though the lifeguard is trained and has the best intentions, no one will distinguish my child from the others the way I will. The sun, the reflections, the little identical looking heads above the water...sometimes things go unnoticed.

According to the article, the mom told the people in charge that she didn't want her son in the pool. If they can prove that, I don't see how they can lose this lawsuit.

I'm very sorry for this family's loss.
I think they should get much more than 11 million. If it were my child, the first thing I'd do after winning the lawsuit is make sure the money would all go into a trust for my remaining family members, go take out the responsible party, and spend the rest of my life in prison, however long it would be before they executed me. I don't think I could live anyway.
