Paul Thorne Concert

Seems like I heard something about this on Kix96 yesterday. You could probably call the station for more info.

He is doing Muscle Shoals to Music Row on August 12th. I think the tickets go on sale Tuesday morning at 10am.

i called an old friend that works at the station....

it's a sure thing! tickets go on sale tuesday!

@The bumble - I agree those tickets will go very fast.

i'm going on vacation the first of that week....

i'll be there!!! what a perfect cap to a week off work. and still have a full three day weekend to recover! ha!

That is going to be a special one. I've seen him in concert a couple times.. total entertainment. The Live DVD recorded in B'ham is very well worth seeing also.

paulthorn.com is where I've ordered my stuff from. OR... I'm sure he'll be selling them at the gig on the 12th. He's got some GREAT t-shirts on his website.

I don't know how many they sold but, it looks like they could have sold a WHOLE lot more. Maybe they should look at getting a bigger place?

he may be about to go mainstream... i hope so, he's earned it!

Yeah, it seems every album he has put out has gotten better each time. Its prolly just a matter of time til places like Florence will be to small for him.

ive seen him before and just sick i missed out on getting tickets this time... i wish it had been advertised more

280 tickets sold in 12 minutes!

i was told he would be back again.
this isn't the first time he's been here.

IMHO, he's just about to break "mainstream" and his popularity is at an all time high!
i'll be there. i wouldn't miss this for anything!

Hello everybody. Just wanted to let you in on some info about the show last night. I have seen some suggestions about selling more tickets and, while it would be a lucrative prospect, MSMR isn't about selling as many tickets as possible-even though we would love for everyone who wants to go to be able to attend. It's always been an intimate, songwriter in the round setting. We don't want to compromise the special atmosphere in the name of a dollar. However, we do air the shows live on 96.1 and 106.5 for everyone in the area to be able to listen free. We also set up MS2MR.com so that those that wanted to could watch the show as it happened. Last night was a record breaker though which led to a few difficulties. We were well prepared for 10,000 people to tune in but we got a surge of over 13,000. Anybody who had problems watching the show will be able to see the produced version on our website soon! I know tickets sold out in the blink of an eye but, since you all are web savvy, you can sign up for our Kix Club for free at Kix96Country.com and have the opportunity to buy tickets before the general public. Those go fast as well but, we do what we can for our fans. Thank you very very much for all the support and interest in the show!
