I know there are a few that will attempt to justify the additional amount added, by the Pizza restaurants, to delivery orders, a fee not given to the driver but kept by the Pizza store owner, but I don't buy the reasons given and feel that this is one of those cases where Pizza restaurants know the public will cinch up and take it whether they like it or not, mostly not.

According to what I've read Pizza restaurant owners claim that the extra fee on delivery orders is because it cost them more money for delivery because they have to pay for the insulated delivery bags and driver uniforms and gas etc.  I frankly don't buy it though.  I believe most delivery drivers have to fund their own gas and to me, the insulated bags are part of the cost of doing business.

Frankly, there are lots of reasons the owners give but to me, the long and short of it is that owners know the public will most likely take it and still keep ordering and it's a way to improve their profits.  Maybe I'm being too critical is there anyone that can shed any more light on this subject?  What're your thoughts?
