Your assessment of the situation is as big an example of bloviating as anything I've heard on O'Reilly. I watched the same show also, and I heard him apologize, up front and honest.
His accusation still holds true for most of the MSMedia, though.

I nominate BeternU for "Pompous Blowhard of the Month", or "Bloviator of the Month".

I'll combined it and put your name in the hat as "Pompous Blowhard Bloviator of the Month".

That is an appropriate title.

beturdU citing that as a victory is like saying Valdosta St beat UNA because they outscored us 6-3 in the 4th quarter. Never mind that we won the game 41-23. I guess the libs are pretty hard-pressed for success these days. Smiler

O'Reilly showed class in his apology.

Perhaps some of our bloviating libtards can at least look up the definition online.

No. He was caught and told another lie to save face. How can you go from saying you only saw it once, and then when called out on it say "Oh, I only meant in primetime." And come on. If it had been the reverse some of you on here would be outraged that he only spent 40 seconds on a 'apology'

And for what its worth I didn't see or hear any followup on Monday.

I promise you. No news organization is going to miss something that big, just because they are pro Muslim or Liberal or whatever you want to call it. Try getting over what a talking heads or a voice from the air's opinion is and make one for yourself, from multiple sources. Everybody spins. Especially if they are bold enough to tell you they don't.

"At length"? My post of only 15 words must be one of the shortest bloviations on record! But I will concede that even such a short post as that might challenge the attention spans of persons so verbally challenged as to regard 15 words as "lengthy."

About CNN's allegedly deficient coverage of the story of the murdered army recruiter, O'Reilly stated, "All day long, nobody else [except Anderson Cooper], nobody."

Sanchez showed clips from EIGHT different CNN reporters on the story in question.

In his lame apology (in which he referred to Sanchez as a "snide and surly guy."), O'Reilly said that what he MEANT to say was that there had been no PRIME TIME coverage of the story except by Cooper. That hardly squares with his acusation: "All day long, nobody else, nobody." Surely, O'Reilly, a veteran newsman, knows that "prime time" is not a all-day-long affair. O'Reilly is truly a weasel!

So now we divert to "the sum total" of my postings, do we? That is a rather transparent (and failed) attempt to avoid the subject actually at hand. Why not address the material posted instead of digressing to gratuitoous insult? Are you capable of that?

Both are irritating toads.

And I am capable of much more than you can comprehend.

Ah, yes, the classy O'Reilly! Real class there, referring to Sanchez as a "snide and surly guy," within the context of O'Reilly's "apology." What is "snide and surely" about laying down the facts in detail and with specificity? O'Reilly got nailed big time and did NOT take it with grace. O'Reilly is the truly resident weasel of FOX News.

Class is when you can admit you are wrong without including a 'but' in the apology. It also proves you can take what you dish.

Those 8 never referred to the shooter as a muslim convert or muslim yet they called the shooter of Tiller a pro life radical.

Interesting comparison by MSM.

o'guano was upset and angry about the killing of the "baby-butcher" but he was only "saddened" by the murder of the soldier by a muslim. That dude is a major embarrassment to this nation. He COULD BE even more of an embarrassment than the boy from Arkansas without even unzipping his pants!

Clearly you didn't watch the entire clip. That was addressed at around 2:30, where it was stated that Sanchez alone spent 17 minutes on the fact that he was Muslim alone when it was discovered and then further went on with an expert on the possible ties to terrorism. And for what its worth a lot of the earlier clips were from that morning. The Muslim ties wasn't discovered by anyone until the afternoon.

They might have mentioned it once or twice, BUT no where near the same number of times as Tiller's right wing killer.

I watch CNN more than any other news network, they lean left, some of the commentators do so pretty hard. Lou Dobbs is more to the right, one person against all the others. Sometimes AC 360 is balanced but overall leans left.

MSNBC has now made their morning shows way left.

Like I said, they might have mentioned it once or twice but in no way was the coverage of the 2 balanced.
No, I think its people hearing what they want to hear. Similar to how in the Letterman thread everyone is upset because it was a 14 year old girl with Palin when it was impossible for Letterman or any of his writers to know who was with her. Some people always have to be the victim, and claim they are the majority, or claim that they are the only point of view that's right. Sad.

I'm trying to not go there, but he's a talk show host. Not running for office, and neither is Palin officially yet. It was a bad tasteless joke but seriously, lighten up. The men of topic here have said worse, and arguably they have more public authority than a former weatherman.

Yea those washed up sports guys are really stand up commentators, one in particular still suffers BDS and Bush is long gone.

The jokes were not funny, I suggest next time putting Obama's children in that same context.
