You mean they actually had time to fill your order and didn't look like it bothered them for you to come in? Or that they even got your order correct. I don't see how this place stays open.
I wouldn't factor in either, but I have never had bad service. I think they have the best Chicken in Florence by far. The red beans and rice are worth stopping in on by themselves... Great now I want some...
We steer far away from that place. Don't know which is worse...service or food...they both stink. Son in law got food poisoning from there. It has to be the worst Popeyes we've ever encountered.Employees are a bunch of self centered, arrogant and just plain hateful folks that act like they don't care whether you eat there or not.My money spends better elsewhere.
MDW, it would appear you have it backwards. According to an earlier thread, most of the white people who have gone there for chicken are discriminated against.
Well I've been there many times and with very few exceptions the Chicken has always been extremely fresh/hot and tasty. I always get the mild for the spicy is too much for my stomach given I have Crohns but I have to agree that it's the best in the area.
As for service I have to say that there have been times that I have been in, along with others, and felt that I was treated different than another person that was in front of me or behind me. Whether it was account of race I don't know and can't really say honestly but did make me wonder but it wasn't typical of the majority of times I've been in there. I also don't think Steve Tanner would allow such if he knew about it but then I really don't know him well enough to say with all certainty.
Popeyes is definitely not Churches and if you got a bad meal I'm surprised but I guess it does happen everywhere at times.
I am white and go to Popeye's probably once a month. I've never noticed attitude and they always get my order correct except for the tea. I wonder if they have unsweetened tea as that's what I always order but never seem to get and am gone before I notice it.
I have ate at that location about 4 times and never got a good meal or service. I worked in Huntsvile for 4 years and ate at the Memorial Pkwy. Popeyes at least once a week and it was exellent. Florence needs new management for sure.
Not having to do with Popeyes, here or anywhere else, but I've noticed with chains even though you are supposed to have consistency it never seems to work out that way. Some are better than others though.
I used to live in McDonough, GA and one of the biggest surprises we had was how much better the KFC Chicken was there than here in the Shoals. It wasn't close it was so much better. On the other hand the Cracker Barrel there wasn't near as good as the one here in Florence and that wasn't close either.
