I once read a reply from a lawyer in Florence that said he would vote for  a monkey typing with the hope of reproducing the works of Shakespeare as long as he had a "D" after his name. Your position is equally stupid. Bravo.

You voted for BushIIe.

And you probably voted for McCain.

At least I voted for Barr, but it matters not in AlObama.

While your accuracy is less than exact (to say the least), your position remains stupid. Bravo on the double down.

You're a hillbilly from AlObama Mark, we know who you voted for.  You have to deal with the consequences on your own.

A hillbilly? Really. What leads you to this conclusion? Is it maybe that you are so self deluded as to think you are demonstrably more intelligent than anyone who disagrees with you? Or is it just me that you feel smugly superior to? In either case, nice dream for you, cherish it.

You know who I voted for? Hmm... unless you, or some that knows you, has been looking over my shoulder at the voting booth, that is incorrect. So you are incorrect. Again. Unless you want to extrapolate the whole situation out to  an extreme degree, in which case you lie.

The consequences I am dealing with are not of my own actions, rather they are the consequences of anyone who voted for The One™. Thanks a heap y'all.

Oh yeah, your position is still stupid. Kudos on the double, double down.

You're not convincing anyone, least of all me.

Embrace your party line voting Mark, its nothing to be ashamed of.  Someday, the Repubs are bound to elect a conservative, even if it is by accident.

Huh? While I am definitely not a good typist, even I do my best to make my posts readable. The interrogatory was not directed to you, why did you answer? What is a 'hillbilsome' anyway?

A clumsy attempt at calling me a 'hillbillysomℬⅈℸⅽℎ'? <CHORTLE>You are amusing, at least there is that positive attribute.

As to what you stated, well let's just say it is mildly interesting... let's address it, shall we? There is, ostensibly, no objective evidence that would suggest that which you and Diddlebrain accuse. In your case I understand that you need for that to be true, so I take it in to consideration. You NEED for me to be the 'hillbilly' to reinforce your unsubstantiated belief that you are at least superior to me, if not everyone else who posts here. It goes along with a pseudointellectual pastey faced troll that dwells in mother's basement typing out snarky one-liners trying to display how clever you think you are. <CHORTLE> Thanks, I needed the laugh. May the light of truth shine upon you, however since you are obviously not accustomed to it you might want to take it in slowly as to protect your yet unused cognitive faculties.

I don't care to "convince" you, or anyone else for that matter. I simply stated true facts, you can once again choose to believe what you desire to believe. Contrary to what so many on the left 'believe', belief in something does not make it true, and the truth IS objective to and independent of 'what you believe'.

I do embrace what constitutes my voting record without shame. If the Republicans were to elect what you refer to as a "conservative", would that not be the worst thing that could happen in your opinion?

There will never be a conservative candidate from the Repub Party.  I would gladly and enthusiastically vote for a conservative but in the current system, either candidate is interchangeable and the public just continues to accept that inevitability.

So, elect Perry, and dont be surprised when he is no more conservative than BushIIe.

Mr Perry in a nutshell:

He is a former Dem, like Reagan.

He supported Gore.

He supported HillaryCare.

He is pro-amnesty for Mexican illegals.

He went so far as to propose a bi-national health care system for the US-Mexican border region.

West, after all, has a constituency in Florida that actually recognizes the importance of protecting that state's environment.   Floridians cringe in horror at the thought of drilling for oil in the Everglades.  Thus West will boldly defend against such drilling while advocating drilling just about anywhere outside Florida.  Opposing oil drilling in the Everglades was no act of courage or principle for West; it was political expedience, pure and simple.

Bachman was probably not referring to the "Everglades" proper, but to the adjacent Big Cypress Swamp, where  some very  limited oil drilling has gone on for decades.  In recent years, the Collier Company, a major landowner in Florida, has sought permission to greatly expand oil drilling in the Big Cypress.  Some of the Bush administration's atrocious hanky-panky associated with that matter is described in a Naples newspaper:

"In 2002, President Bush said the government would buy the oil and mineral rights for $120 million, but Congress refused to authorize a $40 million down payment amid allegations the Colliers had bluffed the government into paying too much.

The deal fell apart last summer when the Interior Department's inspector general reported that the department had overvalued the rights by as much as $80 million. The report sharply criticized the department for pushing the deal forward in violation of normal appraisal rules."

Proposing to drill for oil in the Everglades reminds me of an older proposal back in the 1960s by the family interests of the late William F. Buckley.  They wanted to mine for phosphate in Lake Okeechobee, an insane proposal that would have ruined that lake by over-enriching its waters with phosphates, the very same compounds that are now endangering the Everglades as a consequence of their use as fertilizers.

Leave the Everglades alone.

Then let 'em cast him out.  It will matter very little come 2012 who is and who is not in the Tea Party.  By then they will have so embarrassed and disgraced themselves as not to remain a significant political factor.

Blah, blah, blah... the pontificator once again lets loose with the graphic equivalent of hot air propelled ignorance. Yippee...
