I've raised the same question here before too, Red Baron.  There's no reason I can see for Iowa to have to have the first primary every single election year rather than rotating the order of the primaries, and I have no idea why so many of us in the other 49 states aren't at all interested in challenging Iowa's outsized influence on our presidential elections.

Ron Paul supporters and that awful Huntsman attack ad

One of the best arguments against Ron Paul? The people who support him.

First, there was that fellow who wrote Ron Paul's newsletters.

Now there’s NHLiberty4Paul, who just released a rather shoddily made video decrying Jon Huntsman's ties to China and showing footage of him speaking Chinese and of his two adopted daughters, one Chinese, the other from India.

Opinion piece yet pretty good. Look at who supports ron paul.  I can almost hear paul's confused supporters discussing the fact that huntsman speaks "orange", (to steal a line from a cartoon), but it still fits the mindset of anyone that would support him.

Then that would mean that Mitt Romney is for multiple marriages and forced marriages of little girls since some of his Mormon supporters support the same thing.  I think that would make Romney worse than Paul.

Iowa Caucus Won’t Require Voter ID, and Will Allow Election Day Registration, in Order to Encourage Participation

All across the country Republican legislators have been pushing strict voter ID requirements and the elimination of same-day registration, under the guise of protecting the integrity of elections. Today in Iowa, however, Republicans without a photo ID will be allowed to vote. The party is also inviting voters to use Election Day registration, which means that a citizen can show up to the polls, register, and cast their vote even if they neglected to register earlier.

Why the turn-around? Because the Iowa Republican Party knows what we all know: that photo ID requirements make it harder for eligible citizens to participate in democracy, and Election Day registration makes it easier.

It is interesting to note that Iowa Republicans seem to understand that voter ID rules suppress the vote, which is why they don’t want those rules applied to their own primary. They also know that Election Day registration encourages more citizens to participate. When it comes to the Iowa caucus, the GOP wants as many eligible citizens as possible to register and vote: it would be nice if they would take the same approach to elections.

Have you ever read about the election antics that are experienced in Chicago?

That's the school of politics our President came out of.  Chicago Thug Politics.

No thanks!  It's bad enough that the Democrats are buying voters with entitlements like Section 8 housing, food stamps and government jobs.

The voters will look the other way, as long as their bellies are full and they have a free place to stay.  And, their bellies are very, very full.

Yes Bamaman, both parties are rotten to the core. Let's scrap the two party systems and become one nation again.
