Putin's hunger for power has no bearing on the statement...THE USA IS PUSING THE WORLD INTO A NUCLEAR ARMS RACE.

What Putin is, is Presiding officer over the SECOND MOST POWERFUL MILITARY FORCE ON EARTH. I could care less if we can whup Russian Butt. I care that MY NATION HAS BECOME THE SOVIET UNION OF THE 21ST CENTURY.
Putin is assisting Iran in its nuclear program, selling advanced weaponry to Iran and China, and blackmailing western and central Europe with gas and oil. And, you compare the US with the USSR, a prison of nations, that exterminated 50 million people and filled the gulags with hundreds of thousands of zeks! You. have no gravitas, no bottom and no soul!

YES.

No apology, no back stepping, no flip flop...just YES.
The BBC has misrepresented what he actually said. He didn't say that the US per se was "very dangerous," he said that the reaction of other countries to the perceived threat of the US (i.e. to develop nuclear weapons) was a "very dangerous" development. Of course, he implicitly blames the US for what other countries do. but there is an important semantic distinction between what the BBC claims he said and what he actually said.

That you would care what an ex-KGB agent and the BBC, anti-American for many years snd not just during the Bush administation, speaks volumes.

Check your sources, then check your epistimology.

OK, Putin said US military action is generating an arms race. HE IS NOT CREDIBLE BECAUSE HE IS A RUSSIAN.

So, I WILL SAY THIS, THE UNITED STATES INVASION OF IRAQ, BASED ON A FALSE PREMISE THAT IRAQ POSSESSED OR WAS DEVELOPING NUCLEAR WEAPONS HAS CAUSED AN ARMS BUILDUP IN NATIONS AROUND THE WORLD.

Now will you respond to the statement that our actions are making the world MORE DANGEROUS, AND NOT SAFER?

Putin is ex KGB. G HW Bush is Ex cia...WHO DO YOU LOVE? Your arguement is easily rephrased, WE ARE GOOD, THEY ARE BAD, SO WE WILL FIGHT THEM IN THE STREETS. EVEN IF WE HAVE TO GO TO THEIR STREETS TO FIGHT THEM.

That is exactly what Al Qaeda did on 9/11. THERE IS A WAY TO END THIS CRA*. End the greed for free waffles.

That he is, but he isn't on OUR side though, scarey thought.... but I don't think he 'saved' us from anything.

You are assuming that Bush and Cheney are going to actually LISTEN for a change.
