Boy, talking about knee-jerk reaction. Ya may want to wait until they determine the cause of the crash before YOU decide it was terrorism. Planes do crash for reasons OTHER than terrorists.

Terrorists are no more "gone" than are U.S. Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. That would be the "war on terror" - which has not ended. Sometimes you really don't think these posts through very well. Just saying a thing does not make it true, no matter how strongly you "feel" it is.

What makes you say that? I have not heard or read any thing saying that "terrorism is gone" I really hope that terrorism is not the culprit here but no matter what the cause these people lost their lives and it is a tragedy either way.

Your post seems pretty snarky as if you've been vindicated or something. Why?
The article simply says that "terrorism has not been ruled out." As no one has claimed credit for it, it is unlikely. Evidently, a speed sensor on that model aircraft was faulty; those in similar aircraft are undergoing a mandatory changeout. The airplane flew into a violent thunderstorm and it broke up. That's all that is KNOWN at this time. Anything further is simply conjecture.

And nut cases claiming responsibility for disasters such as this one come crawling out from under the baseboards. Discount them until there is some actual evidence.

Sorry but perhaps you should start listening to Obama and the Head of Homeland Security. Or can you actually comprehend the downplaying of the word terrorism? Of course, I realize the investigation of the plane crash isn't over; they haven't found the black box, the air speed equipment could have failed, AND there was a violent storm. I just think it is interesting there have been several terrorist attacks in the last couple of days (hotel bombing in Pakistan, homicide bombing in Iraq this morning, etc) yet Obama never once raised the issue of terrorism in his speech in Cairo.

It's as if it no longer exists......... So much for Obama's Kum by Yah momentRoll Eyes
I have wondered why Airbus has been so popular with the airlines. When I fly I honestly try to avoid Airbus planes. I don't know why. Maybe it is psychological or something. I still Boeing has the preferable plane design (as if I would know plane design). Now the DC-10 bothered me because of its problems. But another old favorite of mine was the Lockheed L1011 that Delta flew. I think they are mostly retired now.
