As Democrats are accused of weaponizing the U.S. justice system for political purposes, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham warned that former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff could spend a millennium in prison.
Some legal experts have said the case against former President Donald Trump in Georgia is “absurd” because top Democrats have publicly denied election results at least 150 times, including Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Maxine Water, Stacey Abrams, and many others.
“Remember the Russian hoax and the Mueller investigation?” Senator Graham asked rhetorically. “Donald Trump is being charged with a criminal act for telling people to watch a network show about the election.”
“If that becomes a crime Adam Schiff will be in jail for 1,000 years!” he continued. “How many times did Schiff go on MSNBC and CNN and tell us Donald Trump was a Russian agent?”
“This is very dangerous what they are doing to our country,” the senator said. “It’s a terrible double standard.”
The blatant lies of Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff were recently exposed with the release of the bombshell “Durham Report.” Schiff spread false information to Americans by repeatedly claiming President Trump’s 2016 campaign was coordinated with Russia to influence the election. Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida filed a resolution to expel Schiff from Congress. “Adam Schiff lied to the American people,” Luna said. “He used his position on House Intelligence to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars and abused the trust placed in him as Chairman.”
“He is a dishonor to the House of Representatives,” Luna said in a press release. Members of Congress can be removed by expulsion, which requires a two-thirds vote.
The “Durham Report” found that the Department of Justice and FBI “failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law” when it launched the Trump-Russia investigation. The FBI and DOJ relied on false information provided by a Democrat-hired law firm in order to spy on the 2016 Trump campaign. This continued even after Trump was elected president.
A year-long investigation by the Justice Department produced a 300-page report. “The Durham report makes clear that the Russian collusion was a lie from day one and Schiff knowingly used his position in an attempt to divide our country,” Luna said.
Schiff repeatedly said there is “clear evidence on the issue of collusion” between the Kremlin and Trump’s 2016 campaign. “I don’t want to go into specifics, but I will say that there is evidence that is not circumstantial. But as I’ve said all along, there’s plenty of evidence of collusion,” Schiff said in 2017.
