so here we go with taxpayer money being spent. There are some questions that should be asked. The conference city that lost who knows how much, did finally bring a hotel and two elite golf courses here.
When the conference center one of the friends of local politicians got the bid for architect. then wasted lots of money to pocket their percentage. Who knows if or how much was kicked back. The efficiency of the conference center was very poor. Then as it was almost built, oops whose going to manage it? Luckily they found a good manager situation. And even more luckily it turned out ok,, however at a cost more than 4 times what it should have been.
so who is going to plan and build the ag center? Hopefully not the same company design the conference center. Who is going to manage it? Maybe bring back the conference center manager early to control the cost in the early planning? who from the city was involved in conf. center? did they learn anything and will they control cost? or fill a family or friend's pockets?
are we going to give it up to someone at zero cost to them?
