Let's face it, what is really wanted, demanded, is something free for everyone, that is as long as we can find someone, anyone, to pay for it. Unfortunately getting the majority of those who work for a living to pay for this largess is entirely another matter. I read here, more often than not, how the rich, defined as anyone who has more than you, should be required to provide this bounty. Unfortunately, again, those who provide for themselves and their families may have a slightly different opinion about providing for these millions who do nothing for themselves or their families. Call it selfish, arrogant, mean spirited or whatever you will, these earners seem reluctant to give to those who only take.

The utopia sought by the nonproductive once exhisted but fell apart in 1989. The "great" experiment failed. Miserably failed. But do not be discouraged oh you of no initiative, help is on the way. There are currently two who cannot promise you enough competing for your vote. Which one shall it be? Oh wait we forget bigotry, that narrows it down some.

This opinion is mine and mine alone. Do not confuse this opinion with reality, because we all know that no one would really want to reap all the promises that are being made or to get anything they, themselves, did not earn or deserve. Right?
Just an old codger irritating other old codgers.

I think that during this election season we are ALL going to find out that we could be helping our poor, especially the children and the rich would still remain rich.

Thing I see is that we, as a Nation, have meekly allowed our Country to be over run with the largest profits EVER in history for the big Companies, that have moved over seas.

Our "Balance" is gone. At one time, the large companies made their products here and hired Americans to do it. Now with them all going elsewhere to produce it, our working class is faltering and pretty soon, there won't be anyone to buy even their Chinese made things. I mean, WE NEED THAT LEAD IN KIDS TOYS!!!! Roll Eyes

If Giganic Corporations still had their production here in the good 'ole USA, then the welfare wouldn't have changed much at all.

But don't go hollering at me for being Socialist, I am just a plain old American who liked it much better when our Companies supported AMERICA instead of all the other third world Countries.

Again, don't throw stones, my vote will definitely HAVE to be for McCain, but I can't see him being able to do much to fix something that has been broken since the late 80's.

In other words, we got messed over years ago, and are now feeling the crunch. Hurts a lot of good (and HARD working folks).

Corporate Greed drove them to it, Political Oligarchy allowed them to succeed in a way even THEY never thought possible, and here we are, catching the dribbles they care to cast our way.

And when I say OUR way, I am talking middle class, working environment, not the people who refuse to work so they can stay on Welfare.
