If they did it I hope they get the death penalty. I noticed they both admitted to being illegal immigrants and using bogus Social Security cards.

Lethal injection would be to lenient a punishment for them or whoever did it.I'm sure the victim didn't receive a painless death. They ought to go back to the days of publc hangings and make an example out of some of this scum. The bad part is is we'll probably have some lawyer plead them out and blame it on drugs or insanity or injustice by the American system.Horse crap!!!America has got to restore justice to its justice system.

The State of Tennessee and the U.S. Government needs to make sure that they stay in the States and face their punishment whatever it might be.
The Government doesn't need to deport these individuals.

What were these two people doing in the country in the first place and why were they working at that motel.

BECAUSE THEY CAN! And our government is not going to do one single thing about the illegals either! They come here illegally, first crime, then they get the big head that because they are illegals they cannot be caught. Crime becomes a way of life for them.

I said a couple of days ago that I hope the family has a good premises liability attorney in Knoxville. It's premature for me to cast judgment on the Days' Inn, but there is definitely enough to cast suspicion on their hiring practices. I see two areas of potential liability here: 1) failing to conduct proper background checks and/or obtaining the proper paperwork at the time of hire; and 2) failing to suspend or terminate them when they were allegedly involved in another crime recently.
How many people here who are calling for killing these dirty rotten illegals out of hand actually has any information that said dirty rotten illegals are even SUSPECTS in this case?

Lord knows, I'm not defending people who are in this country illegally. I'm glad they have been caught and are in custody ON UNRELATED CHARGES.

Until the Knoxville cops identify the suspect(s) they have in custody, the only thing these two dudes have against them is they snuck in, and then lied (by having forged documents) to get a job.

Oh, but they're illegals, and they look mean. Burn them!

(he turned me into a newt, he did!)

Yes, one of them is a suspect; they are both being held without bail pending further investigation. Link
This is so sad. I too think that Days Inn should be held responsible for this. They should of better screened their workers. If this is how well they know their workers, my family won't be their guests. I will never stay there again.

Maybe the men should be sentenced to the electric chair and if they rat out who got them the forged papers then they can get lethal injection. That would be the only deal I would give them. However- they deserve much worse.
Hi to all,

If these two men are guilty; I believe they should get the death penalty. However, right now, according to the article -- they are only suspects. Until the authorities have the forensic evidence; these men remain only suspects.

While I can understand your deep feelings; especially the victim being a young lady. Still, we have put lynch mobs in the past.

Don't prejudge the two men based upon their race or nationality; don't prejudge them because they are illegal aliens. Let's wait until the authorities have enough evidence to charge them and bring them to trial.

Then, make your feelings known through letters, e-mails, and telephone calls to our local, state, and federal elected officials. If these two men are guilty; let's make sure that our elected officials know that Jennifer would still be alive -- if illegal aliens were stopped at the borders.

Let's be an effective force in seeing justice done -- both for Jennifer and against illegals coming across our borders. But, let's not be a lynch mob. We have learned from our past that this is not the way to have true justice.

Just my thoughts.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Thanks, TP. Your link had the crucial line that was missing from the other story: Police say it's one of the two Days Inn employees who they arrested on unrelated charges the day after Hampton disappeared.

While I respect you,and almost always agree with you,its kind of hard not to in this case. They had already broken the law by entering the country illegally,by using falsified documents, and who knows what else. They already proved they had no respect for the laws of this country. And in this day of police political correctness, they would have to be 95 percent sure to even dare arrest an illegal immigrant .Why thats racial profiling.
