By transmission service, do you mean the recommended 30,60,90k service, or an actual repair? Because typically they do multiple things at those intervals which can drive the price up high. The average 30k service consists of changing the oil, rotating tires, checking brakes and preforming a flush, flushing transmission fluid and engine coolant and so forth. And no, warranty does not cover basic maintenance.

Contrary to belief you don't have to get all of that done at the dealer to maintain warranty, but you do have to make sure that you keep the documentation of the event and that they use official parts if anything needs to be replaced. Next time take it to a local shop if you know its regular service.

About a 100 bucks. I used Tri-Cities Transmission in Sheffield and was very satisfied. Not sure I would do the flush, though. Just let them drain the pan and replace the filter.

Well,I'm still ticked off because they robbed me of over $700.on that prepaid maintennance program I bought into when I bought my Suzuki!
Naturally Kia won't honor it cause they didn't get the money,Suzuki did.The lawyer handling the suite against them said there wasn't anything I could do.

YES IT WAS THE 30,000 MILE SERVICE SO NOW I FIND OUT THEY COULD HAVE IT DONE CHEAPER ELSEWHERE. WHERE WOULD A GOOD PLACE TO HAVE THAT DONE AT
