Has it always been this slow?

Is that why you only have 21 post in seven months? Wink

don't you hate it when ppl come in here and try to bash TD forums but don't even post so why not do something about it like start an interesting topic and quit crying Zuter Roll Eyes
Yea Zuter missed a lot of exciting topics in the last 7 months since he/she joined ... should have hung in there when you first signed up...don't worry, someone will start something about Sheffield City Schools or one of the many murder or sex offender cases or maybe even a political thread that will get all excited and ugly before he decides to leave again ...

He should have "trolled" more!!!! :-) yes that is a funny...

i kept hearng on various news shows that she wanted a private ceremony....yeaaaaa, sure Roll Eyes
After my cabin was completed, a neighbor was complimenting me on my flooring and how he liked it more than his. My flooring is a mixture of oak...some white, some red, dark and light. It has character.

I thought this was a strange comment given I had followed his advice on what kind of flooring to get and where. Yet I had not seen his floors. Maybe I was foolish for not doing so, but it sounded right and it turned out to be good advice.

So I was a bit perplexed why there would be a difference.

Until I saw his flooring.

He had not followed his own advice which he was so good at dispensing.

He had culled his pieces so for the most part, his floor all looked the same although it began as mine.

The interesting pieces were all gone. All was the same no matter what room you entered.

See what I’m getting at here?

See what I mean Hott Mama??? 2 hours since my last post and no further discussion. I'm used to forums that move a little quicker. That doesn't mean I don't like this one. Don't be so sensitive the next time someone makes a legitimate observation. Wink

Touche', but that just causes argument...what about just regular 'ol conversing?

Here goes my attempt at controversy: BBQ is a noun, not a verb.
Barbeque is indeed a noun! Only people who stand "on line" would be so confused at "barbequing" being the equal to "grilling." You know, people who put something red out of a bottle on top of a burger over charcoal and call it "BBQ".

One smokes pork to make barbeque -- well, the poor souls out West choose brisket -- but we all know that real bbq is pork -- Boston Butt to be precise, which is also a pork shoulder, and is slowly cooked over a closed "pit" of hickory wood.

To touch a tomato within 100 yards of the meat is an offense against the mighty hog.
I have noticed that a lot of the interesting posters are either gone, or are not posting regularly.
Kindrid, Manda, TSC, Joy, Smurf only post on occasion now, PBA is gone, Brentenman is in Iraq shooting his guns at people and having a great time, interventor is in Europe (he may come back with a somewhat more open mind), and many more I can't think of right now.
There are less people now starting new subjects, PBA started about 10 threads a day, and since he isn't here any longer there are a lots of less threads going on.
I miss 'em all !

16-18 hours on the cooker @225 w/ scaly bark hickory, then a body wrap of cellophane and aluminum followed by a rest in a cooler for a minimum of 3 hours. Oh yeah, don't pull the meat after three hours to wrap it in foil (one of my past sins against the pig).
Professor John Beeler at UA would be proud of you at his Annual Porkorama event in his backyard. You ought to see the eyes light up when we pull the pork out of the fridge and start to pull 3 or 4 butts at once. He is from Western NC, so it is right tasty BBQ. I always take a quart of my grandmother's homemade preserved hot slaw: she makes vingear slaw with cabbage and carrots and then uses vinegar soaked in hot peppers several weeks to finish it when canned. I bring a gallon or so of Bishop's vinegar sauce for those afflicted with the red disease. A few years ago a friend from Canada got into severe trouble when he asked for some ketchup for his sandwich. Everyone from North Alabama and NC jumped on him, and even a feller from SC and another gal from Pensacola. I think the trauma set his dissetation back a few months, adjusting to all that vinegary goodness.
